Description
Gebrouwen door Vrouwen (Brewed by Women) originated as a hobby of two sisters from Amsterdam. They started brewing beer in 2013, at home in a 35 liter pan. They mastered the brewing process through trial and error. Now they know exactly how to make a fresh, sweet and tasty beer. At home they continue to experiment to keep creating new beers. The best beers are brewed in large quantities for everyone to enjoy!

Bottle from an Albert Heijn in Ghent. Pours clear pale yellow with a lasting, small, foamy, white head; little lacing. The aroma contains wheat, ripe banana, orange peel, coriander, grain & spelt, bready malt, yeast, juniper berries. It tastes medium fruity sweet, hints of banana & honey, and light to medium grainy bitter, spices & yeast in the back. Develops a wheaty & berry-like sourness before finishing dryish, wheaty, only slightly hoppy, with lingering banana & juniper. Medium body, slick texture, soft carbonation.

Uit een flesje bij hotel Buiten. Licht oranje, inderdaad een bloemig aroma, vlierbloesem, lekker. Goede licht zoete smaak, goede nasmaak.

Thin off white head left a cover on a hazy rich looking orange coloured still body. Huge aroma of orange & Belgian yeast. Medium bodied, tingly on the palate with a dry clean finish. A bit heavy on the orange tastes - like drinking a Cointreau Beer - with plenty of Belgian yeast, spices, banana, spice, pepper & minimal sweetness.

33cl Bottle from Hoop. Clear deep amber to brown colour, beige head. Aroma of lots of spices, cinnamon, nutmeg, some star anise. Flavour is sweet and spicy bitter at the same time, earthy, cinnamon, nutmeg, star anise, hint of sweet pumpkin, brown sugar, bitter finish. Light to medium bodied. Well-made, but too cloying with regard to the spices used.

German Hefeweizen??? With coriander, juniperberry and orangepeel added? Puh-lease, let's keep serious! Ultrafine & dense reasonably stable snowwhite head over coldhazed orangey golden beer. Coriander, bit lactic, dairy, and indeed a whiff as from gin. Coriander, wheat. Bit sweet, as from some exotic sweet grain(substitute). Some citrus on top of the coriander. Refreshing served cool enough; bit wheatslickness, good carbonation. Once again, the coriander dominates despite all the other ingredients. Ladies, rebrew this and half, no use a third of the original corianderamount, and this might prove quite worthwhile. 5/4/6/3/12

Clear deep golden colour, small frothy off-white head, short lasting, light lacing. Aroma sweet malt, lemon, elderflower, hay, yeast. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, fruity, light elderflower, herbal and floral hops, spicy notes. Fruity sweetbitter aftertaste, lingering malts, spicy on the tongue. Medium body, watery to oily texture, average carbonation, more a herbal feel than that of a Belgian ale, quite nice.

Strong yeasty nose. Hazy pale golden colour, small frothy white head, mostly diminishing, good lacing. Aroma sweet malts, yeast, fruity candy. Mild taste, medium sweet and light bitter, malty, yeast, light caramel, spices & herbs; sweetbitter aftertaste, spicy notes. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation; not really a great tripel but okay.
