Description
Gebrouwen door Vrouwen (Brewed by Women) originated as a hobby of two sisters from Amsterdam. They started brewing beer in 2013, at home in a 35 liter pan. They mastered the brewing process through trial and error. Now they know exactly how to make a fresh, sweet and tasty beer. At home they continue to experiment to keep creating new beers. The best beers are brewed in large quantities for everyone to enjoy!

Bottle sampled at Winterbierfestival Gouda. Golden with some yeast floating happily around with a small white head. Banana, light grainy, a bit of lemon, sugary, soft sour berries throughout, cloves. Lots of yeast basically. Medium sweet with light bitterness and sourness. Medium bodied. .

Pint Winterbierfestival, Gouda 2016.

Thank you for sharing people! 330 ml. bottle sampled @ “Gouda Winterbier Festival 2016”. Clear orange, little white head. Nose is weird sweet syrup, hay, candy, weird fizzy chamomile, perfume, weird & excessive. Taste is weird flowers, chamomile, perfume, excessive, spices, chemical, urinal cakes,… Fizzy, perfume body. I looked it up and apparently they put star anise, cinnamon & cardamom in this, presumably in insane qualities, no this is nasty excess for me.

Bottle from het Biermoment, BB 31Aug16, large sample. Pretty clear golden color, medium frothy head. Quite spicy in aroma, coriander, clove, banana, orange, juniper. Quite grainy as well. Strange that spelt and wheat together with a weizen yeast give a clear beer, so they have definitely filtered and used a different bottle yeast. Why? Anyway, pretty spciy and grainy in taste as well, sweet creamy banana, slight bitter juniper. Its basically what you expect from a (kristal)weizen with these added ingredients. Well brewed as you might expect from a large brewery as Lindeboom as well. Decent brew.

33cl Bottle from Vonk. Brewed at Lindeboom, thank God not at NHB. Hazy golden colour, white head. Aroma of clove, banana, yeast, light citrusy (probably the juniper). Flavour is medium sweet, light citrus, banana, yeast, clove, light herbal bitterness. Light bodied. Easy and decent Weizen, don’t get much of the promised gin spices except for cloves.

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared with Dutchdrebus and Ansjelaah. Hazy pale yellow color, small off-white head. Smell and taste lightly malts, a bit like a saison, slightly zesty and something weird that I contribute to the gin herbs. Average to decent body and carbonation. Hmm ok but not my thing.
