Description
Gebrouwen door Vrouwen (Brewed by Women) originated as a hobby of two sisters from Amsterdam. They started brewing beer in 2013, at home in a 35 liter pan. They mastered the brewing process through trial and error. Now they know exactly how to make a fresh, sweet and tasty beer. At home they continue to experiment to keep creating new beers. The best beers are brewed in large quantities for everyone to enjoy!

Tap at the Lentebier Festival, Grote Markt, Den Haag, 2016. Poured a crystal clear straw colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is zesty citrus, floral hop. The flavour is moderate to strong bitter with a dry yeast, mineral, light fake sugar, light floral hop palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation.

Bottle at home, from Van Alsem. Light hazy pale golden with white head, some lacing going on. Coriander and cloves in a sweet spiced fruity and grainy space. Overripe banana, lemons, green leaves, some doughy yeastiness. Medium sweet and light bitter. Almost full body, very malty mouthfeel, feels quite well carbonated though not very active or sharp. Pretty nice!

Bottle at home. Clear golden with barely any head. Cloves, soap, dried flowers, soft grains, quite herbal, elderflower syrup. Light sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with very low carbonation. Not that bad but a bit undercarbonated and too flowery.

Bottle at home. Hazy pale golden with white head. Sweet malts, banana aroma, coriander, some light fruity sourness, doughiness, citrus peels, yeast. Medium sweet, light bitter. Medium to full body, quite thick mouthfeel, average carbonation and a long finish that fades from sweet to light bitter. Nothing wrong with this, pretty good actually. A bit too sweet for my personal pleasure, and too much witbier aroma’s in this weizen. But nonetheless a good taste and smooth feel.
