Description
Artisanally brewed in Amsterdam since 2011.

Combining influences from the rich European beer culture with a non-conformist attitude.

From a family heritage of Swedish farm brewers and trained by the masters of ale and porter in England, we ended up in the Netherlands to create our own microcosm in the world of beer.

Inspired by the lesser known sides of European brewing culture and devoted to uncommon artisanal techniques, Butcher's Tears makes distinctive beers that progress beyond fashion and convention.

@home poured into a tumbler. Hazy pale golden colour, fair uneven frothy white head, mostly diminishing, small yeast circles, light lacing. Aroma saison yeast, orange, tangerine, pear, bready. Fruity taste medium sweet and bitter, orange, tangerine, peppery notes. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, dry and fruity sweetbitter aftertaste, peppery notes, more bitterness in the finish, like this one, easy to drink, well-balanced, good.

Super boozy, a sipper worth having. Not super bold, a good balanced bitterness and roast. Bourbony backbone. Really good drinkable beer. Tap zuid Amsterdam

A bit muddy. Not super clean. More of a double brown as stated, not a stout. Bittered american-wise. Butchers tears ams. Tried again and concure.

A tiny bit muddled. Cloudy. But pretty solid for a rye beer, good round body, low bitterness is spot on. Butchers tears Amsterdam

Decent blonde ale. The bitterness is a little ugly and astringent. But not a deal breaker. Butchers tears Amsterdam

Pours a cloudy golden colour and a white blanket with good retention. Aroma's: fruity, yeasty, aromahops.. Retronasal it's sweetish, fruity, (typical BT) mossy/woody, light bitter. Flavour is light sweet, light fruity sour, light moderate bitter. Medium bodied. Finish is quite bitter with some ash. Nice enough, but stout?
