66cl Bottle, thanks H&T! Golden colour, white head. Aroma of pale malts, some fruity hops, citrus, grass, hint of pine. Flavour is medium-sweet, malty, hoppy, light-fruity, citrus, OK bitter finish. Light to medium-bodied.

341mL bottle, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Nose of insane garlic - one can smell it from feet away - wow, garlic and more garlic - hugely intense. Flavour isn't as garlicky, with moderate garlic. I thought this would be a comedy beer, but this is surprisingly good. Pretty mild on the flavour, while being pungent on the nose. There was actually a whole garlic clove at the bottom of this beer. What a novelty.

Bottle - Molasses, dark fruit and some bitter chocolate. Jet black with a thin brown head. Chocolate malts, prune and some other dark fruits, very dry. A very nice beer from Alley Kat. Doesn’t happen often enough.

Bottle: Poured a deep amber color ale with a relatedly large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of medium citrus hops with some grassy and earthy hops notes also noticeable. Taste is also dominated by grassy hops with some earthy hops notes and some medium citrus notes. Quite a bit of caramel malt with good balance to avoid overshadowing the hops. Body is full with good carbonation. Enjoyable though probably a tad too much caramel malt presence for my own taste.

Thanks to Nic for bringing this back for me from Edmonton. Pours a clean darker amber colour with a frothy warm cap, great retention and thick foamy lace. Big cereal grain malt scent with hints of goat soap and hops. Medium-light mouthfeel, feeling like Perrier but without too much carbonation. Smooth cereal malt flavours with a nice light bitter hoppy finish. The grain in this one balances the grass notes in this one. Pretty easy to drink West Coast Pale Ale that still has a micro character.

Bottle split at Endo’s, thanks to MJ for the trade, 26/05/13. Very lightly hazed golden amber with a thin off white head. Nose is spiced fruits, clove, sugars, pumpkin, caramel. Taste comprises sweet sugars, steeped fruits, clove, spice, pumpkin, light apricot notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, fruity spicey finish. One of the best (I’m not a big fan) pumpkin beers I’ve had - good balance of sweet and spice.
