Hazy dark amber to orange colour. Nice nose of resinous hops and citrus, american style. Hops are very presnet in taste, with grapefruit, and some black pepper.Very enjoyable. Thanks to TrevorN.

Hazy orangey-amber; lemony, grapefruity, slightly spicy & woody hop aroma, with toasty rye bread underneath, fresh from the brick oven. The palate is lightish, slightly metallic. Low carbonation. Lean, then woody, earthy bitterness shows notes of lemon & deeply toasted brown bread. Carbonation picks up as it goes along. Lemony finish is almost astringent.

This clear brownish- orange medium bodied beverage gives off a Cascade hops floral nose with oranges and apricots being the most prevalent smells. The body is hoppy and chewy while the orange and apricots are present. I also pick up background hints of tobacco (not the first Alley Kat brew to have this trait). The tobacco comes across with a chewing tobacco likeness to it that accentuates the oranges and apricots. All of this leading into a firm, crisp moderately bitter finish. I love Pale Ales that actually try to achieve character instead of trying to be a bland, boring ale with no bitterness at all in it. This is an excellent North American Pale Ale!

2016. Amber and bright. The aroma is fairly good - lots of malts, sweet and sticky, and like a nice pudding. Very well balanced bitter, sweet toffee malts, sticky dark sugars, fig, raisins. Very good.
Old rate: Golden amber. Slightly bizarre aroma of grapes, cucumber, caramel & toffee, flowers, and some tropical fruit hoppiness. Sweet, smooth creaminess with coconut sweetness; fruit esters like apricot, pear and crabapple. Long malts omnipresent (bread crust, molasses). Fairly light for its size. 7-3-7-3-14 = 3.4

This is a great Marzen. Liquid Autumn color, hints of spicy hops with a nice malt backbone. Best example of an Oktoberfest beer in Canada. Available on draught in limited quanitities.

They use a quality essence to make this, but that's about it. You still have to really feel like a fruit beer.

Subtle, tasty cream ale. There aren't a lot of beers worth drinking twice in Alberta but this is one.
