Bottle - Vintage 2011 - Again, smells remarkably good for a vintage IIPA. Sweet grapefruit and candy like. Clear light copper with a thin head. Starts of nice and sweet, then leads to a bitterness that overwhelms. No real hops left in the taste. Again, didn’t stand up to time very well.

Bottle - Vintage 2011 - Surprising amount of aroma considering it’s age, citrus orange and spice. Clear orange with a nice thick head. Tropical fruits and alcohol, and did not hold up well. I would expect more from an Imperial IPA.

Bottle - Toffee, orange and roasted malts. Clear copper with a white head. Caramel, light roast coffee and some light bitterness. A very uninspiring amber.

Draft - Sweet, spicy and rye and some flowery hops. Amber thin head and clear. Sweet hops up front, grains, resin and some mild bitterness. A light and decent sessionable beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft - Pumpkin, nutmeg, clove, all the right players in balance. Clear amber with minimal head. Spice is held in check, unlike many others, allowing the pumpkin to shine. One of my favorites from this brewery.

341mL bottle, sent from presario (thanks Trevor), pours a dark amber with a big, slowly dissipating beige head. Nose of maple syrup, scotch whiskey, a bit of peat, and candied sugar - not an overly well-mixed bunch of aromas. Flavour is a muffled mix of maple syrup, peated malt and whiskey notes, both quite sweet and smoky, but what a mess this is! Nothing is in harmony and the beer feels extremely messy. Each additional sip makes this nastier and nastier, revealing notes of vomit. This is absolutely revolting. Drainpour.

Draft - Grains, malt and biscuit on the nose. Clear gold with a minimal head. Tastes just like it smells with some hop bitterness and spice. I am not partial to this style but it was drinkable.

2011 bottle at 10.3%, from Kensington Wine Market. It pours deep mahogany brown, with a thin yellow-white head. The nose is toffee, wood, varnish, raisin, caramel, spice, cinnamon bun and umami notes. The taste is wood, varnish, leather, spice, toffee, cinnamon bun, over-ripe fruit and booze, with a dry finish. Medium-full body and fine, prickly carbonation. Well balanced. A solid barley wine.

650mL bottle, pours a hazy vibrant orange with a small white head. Aroma is quite dank and slightly vegetal, with pretty much no traits of a IIPA showing on the nose. Flavour is very sweet, with loads of caramel, some tropical fruits, lots of grains, and a dry grassy bitterness that lingers on and on. The flavours don't mesh very well, the sweetness is a bit bothersome and the bitterness is not too tasteful. Not sure what they were trying to do here, but it didn't work.

650mL bottle, pours a hazy vibrant orange with a small off-white head. Nose is quite vegetal, with coppery malts, metallic notes, not a lot of hops, and unpleasant vegetal character dominating. Flavour thankfully doesn't have this vegetal character, with lots of dry caramel, some crackery malt and unpleasant medicinal hoppy bitterness which lingers for a long time - very high annoying astringency. Not undrinkable but something went wrong here - and the Cascade hops probably don't help. Not too good.
