Description
Founded in 2005. There are plans to re-establish a brewery in Alnwick . Later the Brewery moved to premises just outside Alnwick after being taken over by Harry Hotspur Holdings. They provide beers for sister company Lindisfarne, they also utilise brands Hawk Wing Beers and VIP.
We are owned and managed by Harry Hotspur Holdings a niche investment company with a vision to “preserve the past and build the future” for niche food and drinks businesses in Northumbria. In the portfolio there is also; Lindisfarne Limited famed for their world famous meads and also the Alnwick Rum Company.

1/6/2019. Bottle from , shared at the Krsko GP beer share. Pours clear bright amber with an average sized foamy off-white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, hops, fruit, biscuit and a little honey. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation. Odd metallic bitterness to finish. Fair.

Sample courtesy Grumbo. Frothy off-white fair mostly diminishing head. Dark brown colour. MOderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Cherries not that present. Light bitter dry woody flavor. Average light bitter finish. Oily palate.

16/4/2019. Cask from 2019 Newcastle Beer and Cider Festival, sample courtesy of danlo, cheers Ed. Pours dark brown with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malts, coffee, a little ash and black cherry. Medium sweetness, light to moderate bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation. Slightly dry finish. Easy drinking stout.

Cask at Newcastle Beer & Cider Fest 2019. Black brown colour, beige foam head leaving some lacing and aroma of chocolatey malt, roasted, cherry hint. Taste is roasty malt, chocolate and coffee, with some cherry hints. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi-dry finish. Quite drinkable

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - golden amber, nice lacing. Nose - a bit butterscotch, or at least caramel/toffee up front. Earthiness in there too. Taste - caramel or honey. Dry biscuit bit at the back. Palate - close to medium bodied and a bit cloying. Overall - not great, I'm afraid.
