Description
Founded in 2005. There are plans to re-establish a brewery in Alnwick . Later the Brewery moved to premises just outside Alnwick after being taken over by Harry Hotspur Holdings. They provide beers for sister company Lindisfarne, they also utilise brands Hawk Wing Beers and VIP.
We are owned and managed by Harry Hotspur Holdings a niche investment company with a vision to “preserve the past and build the future” for niche food and drinks businesses in Northumbria. In the portfolio there is also; Lindisfarne Limited famed for their world famous meads and also the Alnwick Rum Company.

[ As Alnwick Amber Ale ].Clear medium amber orange color with a small, frothy - fizzy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, resin. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a long duration, resin, caramel, light honey sweet. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20141204]

Gravity dispense at the Falcon BF, Wooburn Green, 09/07/16. Golden copper with a decent off white head. Nose is fruit esters, light bread, straw, caramel. Taste comprises airy malts, light red berry fruit, straw, grain. Medium bodied, soft carbonation - good condition for gravity, semi drying close with a bitter edge. Ok.

500ml bottle from St Aiden’s Winery - Clear reddy broon body, thin off white head. Nose is toffee and caramel. Taste is a little thin, but benefits from the dark fruit that ripples through each mouthful. Not bad at all.

Cask at Pigs Ear 2014 - London. Pours dark brown with a foamy off-white head. The nose holds lightly burnt malts, cocoa, leaves. Light sweet flavor with some char, graham crackers, burnt earth, bread. Light bodied with fine carbonation; good condition. Balanced finish with further toasted malts, dry chocolate, light earthy bitterness, molasses. Solid.
