Description
First brewed in Summer 2008. Beers under the badge "Chideock Brewery", but coming from the same source were seen in May 2012. Brewery location North End Farm, Venn Lane, North Chideok. By 2014 the brewery had ceased brewing on its own equipment while seeking new premises. In the meantime it is believed that some beers are being brewed on an occasional basis at Sherfield Village brewery. In 2016 brewing recommenced at a new location in Devon. Brewing ceased again during 2020 with production moving back to Sherfield Village.

Reddish-brown. Rich malts, sugar sticky with cinnamon and lots of clove. Very clovey on the palate, too, with cinnamon and maybe some fruits and lots of sticky malts.

Gravity cask at the Bree Louise, London. Pours cloudy, amber-gold with basically no head. Bit of ripe orange on the nose, some sugar. Sweet flavor, some ripe citrus, light yeast, bit of dough. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet, light warming finish, more overripe orange and some mild spice. Um, alright. The good British witbier remains ever elusive.

Cask-conditioned at the Three Tuns, Bristol 22/07/2011. Deep amber with a slight off-white head. Yeast aroma with some banana fruit and hint of spice. Flavour had plenty of bubble gum, a touch of citrus, grainy edge and dryish finish. A bit strange, seemed to be heading in the direction of a German Hefeweizen without quite getting there.
