Description
First brewed in Summer 2008. Beers under the badge "Chideock Brewery", but coming from the same source were seen in May 2012. Brewery location North End Farm, Venn Lane, North Chideok. By 2014 the brewery had ceased brewing on its own equipment while seeking new premises. In the meantime it is believed that some beers are being brewed on an occasional basis at Sherfield Village brewery. In 2016 brewing recommenced at a new location in Devon. Brewing ceased again during 2020 with production moving back to Sherfield Village.

On gravity at Reading Beer Festival, 01/05/09. Dark brown mild with a slight, off-white head. Easy enough drinking, with some fruity malts and chocolate, but didn’t stand out from the crowd of milds available at the Reading BF.

Cask-conditioned at the Royal Oak, Bath, 21/02/09. Dark brown with reddish undertones and a slight, off-white head. Sweet, barley sugar and earthy hop aroma. Flavour was also sweet, with plenty of caramel, cherries and a clean, bitter finish. Enjoyable. Came across as a cleaner version of Wadworth Old Timer.
