Keg draught at the Two-Tailed Lion, Leicester. Pretty close to black, very very dark brown anyway. Opaque with a small khaki head. Clean chocolate aroma, a little bit of liquorice, some slightly burnt coffee. Taste is bittersweet, some cooking chocolate, espresso, Ash. Bitterness in the finish but there's nothing sharp orangutan about any of this, it is as smooth as you like. Light to medium body with carbonation slightly on the heavy side. An easy little stout.

Lovely stuff, highly drinkable. Pillowy pale malts, biscuits, white bread. Soft lemony hops, a nip of pithy dryness, mild rindy bitterness. I’m a fan.
