Cask at the Bury St. Edmunds Beer Festival with Grumbo and ITFCDan. Aroma is stone fruit, tropical fruits, citrus, melon and grape. Light carbonation, decent to thin body. Bitterness developed to finish. Preferred the aroma to the final taste but still good.

October 2013: 500 ml bottle conditioned, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6.5%. Deep orange to amber colour, moderate off-white head. Very nice aroma of fruity and piney hops, notes of tropical fruits. Distinctly hoppy flavour throughout, tropical fruits and grapefruit, resin and a solid bitterness in the finish, but not too extreme. There is a decent malty backbone to support the hoppiness - a well balanced IPA in my book, can easily compete with most of its American counterparts.

Bottle from Beer52. Only my second smoked porter. Dark red ale appearance, with a small beige head. Smoke aroma, slightly meaty, dark malts, touch of spice. Taste of dark malts, chocolate, sweet tangy middle, smoke comes through in the finish with a roasty bitterness. Body a little light but a helpful contrast to the richness, drying. Decent.

Can from lowcostbeer, consumed 2 months past BBE. Cloudy gold with moderate sized white foamy head, nice lacing. Citrus and floral aroma with some biscuit and spice. Pleasant and clean taste of citrus, cracker, spice, light floral, grassy moderate bitter finish. Hops slightly subdued which maybe age or just brewed to be easy drinking. Overall though I liked it, very refreshing and quaffable which is underrated.

330ml bottle from Beer52. Pours near black with a ruby red tinge, small beige head. Aroma is big coffee notes as expected, chocolate malt background. Taste has a grainy coffee, chocolate, some lactose, slight smoke on the backend. Body is light to medium, fairly smooth, carbonation zing. It enjoyable, not too sweet or too bitter, although I think a 6% version would give it more body and improve the beer.

500ml bottle from Morrisons Online. Nice clear amber with creamy off-white head, nice retention. Sweet, fruity, citrus and malty aroma; fairly fresh on the nose. Taste is zesty, fruity, and malt, touch of spice, light dry bitter finish. Nice smooth mouthfeel, a little oily. Very good.

500ml bottle from lowcostbeer.com, this one a fairly hefty 2.5 months past BBE. Cloudy light gold with large white foamy head which settles to an uneven covering Very lemon citrusy aroma, some zest, grainy, hint of the lactose. Flavour has a nice creamy lactose (not overdone) with lemon citrus, some tropical and apricot, grains. Very smooth, soft carbonation. I was worried about the lactose but its been well brewed and has enhanced the beer. Hops have kept up well considering the age. Very enjoyable.
