12 oz form a six pack. Paid 10.99 at Table and Vine. Fresh bottle, best by September. Clear gold with a good amount of retention. High, active carbonation. Lemon zest and yeast. nose. Light body. Flavors of orange, lemon and a bit of rind. Lively mouthfeel. Real thin borderline watery. Nice spice note in the finish. Not traditional, very American. Ok summer, don’t have to run out and get more. However, much better then the weak Pyramid hefeweizen I just had.

Bottle thanks to hophead22. Pours with a hazed golden body. Still. Aromas are of maple syrup, brandy, raisins, plum, dark fruit, vanillin, brown sugar, and alcohol. Light corked aroma. Flavors are oxidized, medium leather, sweet, brown sugar, strawberry, oak, some ester. Finishes earthy, almost a bit peat like. Mostly flat, warming and syrupy.

Bottle. Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Moderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Strange coffee notes. Light bitter flavor. Weird light bitter finish. Oily palate. Not good.

12 oz. bottle, Julio’s Liquor’s, $2.19 with a 15% off Wild Six Discount. Fresh bottle, best before March. Deep brown color with tiny ring of white head into an English pint glass. Soft carbonation. Nose is a pleasing roasted and chocolate malt. Taste is much the same with an odd sourness toward the finish. The sourness is a bit off putting. Not terrible, still drinkable… but not what I’m looking for in a porter.

12 oz. bottle, Julio’s Liquor’s, don’t remember what I paid, it was left downstairs in my basement and forgotten about.. No head or lace. Nose has sweet malts with booze. Taste is all over the place. Caramel malt, burnt bread, toffee and some sort of spicy hop. The flavors in this don’t mesh well for me. Newport needs to retire this and let it die.

12 oz. bottle, Julio’s Liquor’s for $2.25. Orange hazy pore into shaker. Full, foamy white head that sat like a pillow on top of the liquid. Nose is clove, Belgian yeast and orange zest. Flavors follow suit with a good amount of dry hopping in the finish. This brew isn’t going to “WOW!” you but…. I think it is a decent Belgian Ale. Drinkable.
