Small shortlasting head. Aroma is very strange, kind of like stomach acid, salt, citrus, hay, hints of shed. Taste is slightly sweet, sugar, grain, salt, sorrel, grapefruit, berry skin hay, shed, grass. Medium bitterness, dry strange mouthfeel. Not my cup of tea.

Draft at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2014, Session 1. Pours deep black-brown with a foamy, tan head. The nose is dried, lightly burnt green peppers, herbs, mellow chocolate. Medium sweet flavor with milk chocolate, rounded roast, light mint, sweet pepper, minimal heat. Medium bodied with fine, creamy carbonation. Nicely balanced on the finish with sweet and oily chocolate character, light bitter burnt earth and baking cocoa. Good one.

Taster on tap at Copenhagen Beer Celebration, first session. All black body. Fair beige head. Dark chocolate malts, wood, and dried fruits on the nose. Prominent roasted taste profile, cocoa powder, caramel, dark fruits and spiced together with peaty moments. Fine bodied. Actually quite easy to drink. A really well-crafted beer (02.05.2014).

Sampled @ CBC 2014. Nice autumnal red-brown color, small off-white head. Aroma and taste are a bit boozy, slightly leaves, sweetish, alcohol, a touch of vanilla, a hint of wood. The vanilla flavors really annoy me. Medium to full body, medium carbonation.

Very dark, pitch black a finger head. Spicy with jalapeño and peppercorn. lots of vanilla and chocolate but it’s very spicy and this takes away from the awesomeness a bit.

Sample from tap, CBC 2014. Hazy, golden colour with a thin, white head. Fruity aroma with yeasts, caramel malts, bread, an acidic note and spices. Taste is light sour. Thinner body with an average carbonation. Finishes fruity spicy and yeasty. Nice one.
