Bottled. Nut brown, no head. very fruity and lightly citric. As always in Ysta’s beers there are signs of infection - in this case it’s still mild, but quite annoying anyway. It destroys the soft malt character, and there are almost no hops to cover this flaw. I wonder when this brewery will try to solve their enormous quality problems - this has been going on for years and years now.

Hazy blond color; big head. Lightly malty aroma, a bit sour. Tastes like a wheat beer, with a little fermentation problem.

Sour hay aroma, burned sugar. Cloudy brown, no head. Quite sweet and sirupy. Lightbodied. Sweet and sugary - and not much else.

A hazy yellow beer with a huge white head. The aroma is sweet brewmashy combined with slight hints of hops. The flavor is lemony and hoppy with a slight touch of malt, and a dry lemony end. Somewhat like drinking lemonade.

(Bottle 50 cl) Slightly cloudy pale amber colour with a nice, small head. Slightly tart notes like in a typical "Färsköl". Certainly not your typical lager. Interesting. 310303

(Bottle 66 cl) Bronze coloured, cloudy beer. Some tart, lactic notes in the aroma. Same notions found in the flavour which is also very dry and quenching. Reminds me a bit of a Berliner Weisse although this isn’t quite as sharp. Fades a bit in the finish. Very interesting. 120700

(Bottle 100 cl) Dark mahogany, beautiful tall head, quite light body - surprisingly for such a dark beer. Ysta doesn’t normally filter their beers but this one clearly is. Easy to drink in large quantities and actually quite refreshing for a Christmas beer. 251204

(Bottle 35 cl) A lot of fuss about this beer. And it looks as if the Greenpeace campaign succesfully has influenced my honourably, fellow ratebeerians opinions. Golden, hazy, thick head. Some sediment in the bottle. Unusual and rather odd acidity not unlike the brewery’s special and unpasteurized "Färsköl". Quite unusual but very fresh. 040904

A hazy red beer with a disappearing orange head. The aroma is sweet with notes of yeast and berries. The flavor is mainly sour - has it turned bad? it was 2 months over the best before date. But the thin body has not come from too long cellaring.
