Dark amber color; generous creamy head. Some malt and spicy aroma, but anticipates a sourness. And the taste doesn’t refute: ordinary Schwarz with a sour touch. Average.

Draught at the brewery, 2006-09-17, 4-3-4-2-8=21
Hazy blond color. Some malt aroma. The taste is very much like any Pale Lager, poor malt, and not even the light freshness of the lighter version
Draught, 2004-09-27, 5-3-5-3-10=26
Hazy orange color. An original but not impressive beer, with a light sour note, suitable for some heavy food.

Very pale yellow colour. Fluffy head. Weird sourish aroma. Very thin and watery with a sourish flavour. What the hell is this? Sour water?

A hazy orange beer with no head. The aroma is sour with notes of fish - how does this get into a beer? The flavor is sweet yet sour with notes of corn and wheat - a very boring flavor.

Gold/orange color. Peculiar aroma, light, some malt, some hop, light fruitness (mango, apricot). Quite light taste, some malt, a strange sour bitterness. Strange beer… probably a micro one

Sampled draught at Svensk Fatölsfestival, Nynäshamn
Muddy nut brown. Sweet and balsamic like a Flemish brown. Light bodiedm but nicely rounded and soft with notes of saccarine and a pleasant red berry finish. For having less than 2% alcohol it is remarkably flavourful.

Bottled. Golden coloured with average head. Light acidic aroma. Medium bodied, medium sweet, rather soft and mild, but with an annoying sour tone. A decent beer with a problem.

2002 version, bottled: Dark amber and hazy with rich creamy head. Soapy flowery. Rather light body and only a slight hint of the acidity caused by infection that has plagued this brewery for so long. Salty finish with decent bitterness and a hint of shampoo.
This is difficult to rate as it has varied so much over time in quality. When it first came out, it was dark, hazy, earthy, malty, complex and roasty, but not as sweet as many other Christmas lagers. The later batches has been thin, acidic and probably infected.
Earliest batches: 7/4/8/3/15
2001 version: 1/3/2/2/4
