Pours pale amber with a small head.Nose shows grassy, earthy hops, some resinous notes, honey and plain sweet malt.Pretty hoppy flavours, big pine and grapefruit along with some biscuity malt.Could use more carbonation.Pretty easy-drinking stuff.

Bottle from Chester Beer & Wine. Murky amber pour with a dissipating yet lingering off white head. Pineapple, ganja like hop and sweet malt nose. Great fullish mouthfeel. Slightly sweet flavour with tropical fruit notes of melon and grapefruit, that gives way to a steadily building hop bitterness. Robust, satisfying and lengthy finish. The Jester looks like a win on this evidence.

Cask ale by handpump at the Port Street Beer House, half, shared with Finn. Muddy golden body, bubbly surface. Fresh fruity aroma with oranges up front. Resinous hops to the taste buds, hints of fresh apricots as well as mid-sweet malts. Half dry bitter ending. Quite alright with a thirst quenching touch (Manchester, 27.01.2013).

Keg at Port Street Beer House. Half pint together with Finn. Dense, white, lacing-head, cloudy orange coloured body. Aroma of lightly smoked malts, hints of earth and bread. Subdued dry peaty taste mixed with fresh fruits. Fresh fruity ending, smoked malts far behind. Medium bodied. Likable (Manchester, 27.01.2013).

660 ml bottle @ Christianssand brygghus Quite hazy reddish orange body with a small off/White head. Really nice aroma of tropical fruit, apricot, some dry fruit and caramel malt. Flavor is very sweet, caramel malt, dry fruit, marmalade, apricot and moderate bitterness. I assume this beer might be bitter than it feels, but this is camouflaged by the sweetness and alcohol. The alcohol by the way is present but well hidden, you feel it more than you taste it. Full body, almost sticky after a while, and a long aftertaste with more malt than hops. I guess this is a great beer, but just too sweet for me.

(Draught at Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm) Golden amber colour with lasting, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of citrus, passion-fruit, grapefruit and lychee. Fruity, hoppy taste with grainy malt, grapefruit, passion-fruit and a fairly dry finish with a solid citric bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Very tasty with an impressive hop character. Very nice.

Bottle at CBC - Clerkenwell, London during Bruce’s 30th Birthday Party. Many thanks to...me. Pours lightly hazy gold with a fine, white cream head. Nice hoppy nose with citrus, orange, melon. Medium sweet flavor with pleasantly dry citrus, tangerine, melon, grapefruit and pine needles. Medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Light dryness to finish with hints of resinous pine needles, some toasty hay, lemon rind. Good stuff. Nice balance, cutting dryness. Certainly one of the better non-Kernel IPAs I’ve had in a while.
