Tap. Nice cold filtered coffee aroma. Black, low head. Mellow, sparkly body, light citric tart, extremely coffeeish flavor, toasted bread. Medium to full body, slightly fizzy. Heavy coffee, but balanced and pleasant to drink.

Tons of crystal malt in the backbone. Aggressive hop presence in the mouth. Well defined apples and oranges in the nose with some malty sweetness. Very well balanced. Big bitterness in the mouth through the finish. Heavy and balanced. Malt accented, very enjoyable IIPA.

Poured a big head of brown. faded slowly. Big yeasty sweet nose, hint of oak. Taste is obviously a strong ale. Nice resiual sweetness, sticky caramel but overall a weak and thin finish. Lacks complexity and it’s a shame this is a 750..it’s just very large.

750mL thanks to noodleuser. Poured a clear golden color without much of a head in this particular brew. Aroma is sweet, with some light dried fruits. Flavor was malty, with sweet dried fruits, some booze notes.

750ml bottle pours a translucent brown with some very active, frothy, beige head. Nose of bitter greens, cinnamon, wood pulp, red grape, some light vinegar, a little berry, some brown sugar. Flavor is sweet and tart, soured wine, wood pulp, brown sugar, collar greens, raspberry vinaigrette. Medium bodied, lightly acetic finish.

From a 12 oz bottle at home. Pours black with a tan head. Coffee and roasted malt nose, Flavor is even more coffee forward, but in a balance way. Quite tasty.

Deep caramel coloured body with a bit of an apricot glow and a thin, half centimetre tall soapy foamy white head. Aroma of grass, soap, pale malt and a bit of mushroomy funk. Light-bodied; Assertive soapy and cardboardie malt flavours with not much else and nothing pleasant about this. Aftertaste shows a little grass, some light sweetness and nothing else aside from some stale malt/cardboard. Overall, a fairly poor offering and definitely not worth trying. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Total Wine in McLean, Virginia on 07-February-2013 for US$1.99 sampled at home in Washington on 17-February-2013.
