$1.75 for a bottle at Wine Warehouse, Charlottesville. Pours.... head, head, head... settles for a long time. Another pour: head head head. OK something’s up. Smells sour. Taste is sour... undrinkable. This bottle may be bad... looks like I’m not the only one with this problem with this beer.

Rich deep hazy copper coloured body with a bright orange and peach coloured glow with a massive, four centimetre tall tan head - very nice. Aroma of resin, alcohol, pine, grapefruit, a lot of sugars and some noticeable malt. Full-bodied; Super rich flavour of grapefruit and resin up front - this is a pungent and potent beer. Aftertaste shows a great variety of hop flavours with floral notes spanning to pine and grapefruit and everything in between. All with a lot of malt behind for a great balance, but still a strong beer. Overall, a nice and deep imperial IPA that has a great flavour profile, is strong and pungent and served in a small format bottle. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Total Wine in McLean, Virginia on 02-April-2013 for US$2.79 sampled at home in Washington on 08-May-2013.

Capped 750 from Beachbum25. Many thanks for this. Pours very dark brown with a foamy/fizzy light tan head. The aroma suggests a moderate flemish ale. Hints of sour. Hints of oak. Vinosity. Med + body. Flavor is dark fruit and malt, vinous, oaky, astringent, somewhat earthy/sour. This finishes extremely tasty. Excellent ale.
