Description
Brewing forward thinking modern beers in keg, cask, can and bottle.

We’ve been brewing beer here in Nottingham since 2014 and have grown in size from a team of 1 to a whopping 5 person operation in that time. We sell our beers all over the UK via on line sales and to trade businesses. Our beer names and can designs are the product of far too much screen time in my youth.

Cask at Smithfield, Derby. Pours almost black with a small cream head. Has an enticing aroma of roast malts mixed with honey. A lovely complexion of flavours in the mouth. Liquorice and dark fruits up front, but loads of other stuff in the background. Rum, olde English spangles and hints of aniseed and ginger. Finish is dry on the roof of the mouth, but alcoholic strength on the tongue. Pretty d*mn gorgeous, but not to be taken lightly.

Slightly cloudy pale gold with a frothy white head and a citrus hop and light malt aroma. The mouthfeel is smooth, with a touch of graininess, and a funky kick to it to begin with and a mellow, dry and softly bitter finish

440ml can delivered by the Two-Tailed Lion, Leicester, and drunk at home. Dark reddish brown, opaque with a reddish/beige ring of head. Sweet scent, a little sickly but still nice, with milk chocolate, vanilla and possibly cranberry. Sweet taste, more chocolate, carob, definite cherry coming through but it's still that little bit sickly to me, so the score is high but not astronomical. Long finish with better balance and a good dollop of chalky bitterness.

440ml can ordered online from Hoptimism and drunk at home. Bluish magenta with a quickly dissipating pink head. Blueberry and blackberry yoghurt on the nose. Taste is sweet with a light tartness from the fruit. A slight saltiness mid-sip disappears in the short finish. More berries and yoghurt notes on the aftertaste. Full body, medium carbonation. Decent stuff.
