Description
Brewer of real ales, with over 150 pubs across the South of England. The original Northgate Brewery had been in existence since at least 1837. Henry Wadworth bought the company in 1875, moving to the present purpose built Northgate Brewery building in 1885. John Smith Bartholomew, Wadworth's son-in-law, became a partner in 1887, and it has been owned by the Bartholomew family ever since. In 2016 Wadworth brewery completed an ambitious 4 years investment plan to move all aspects of the brewery onto one location.

Cask @ GBBF 2017. Pours an amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma with weak hoppy hints. Fruity malty caramel flavor with hints of hops. Has a fruity malty caramel finish.

Bottle from Aldi. Nose is very light, brown sugar, fruit, malt. Taste is brown sugar, dark fruit, slight cola and earth, bitter ovebrewed coffee. Not very impressed

Cask half pint at The Lamplighter, St. Helier. Served at room temperature. Golden colour, nice lacing. Aroma with hints of malt vinegar and citrus. Moderate flavour of malts with citric notes.

Il gusto al naso è indirizzato verso speziato e orzo tostato. L'olfatto viene stimolato in maniera elevata e il modo in cui permane è apprezzabile. Il cappello di schiuma non è molto persistente. La grandezza delle bollicine è a grana medio-fine. Il liquido è di aspetto cristallino e anche qui la grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine. Il colore è ramato. Il corpo è medio. L'amaro è poco incisivo. La forza gustativa è normale e la durata è sufficiente. Il finale è semplice. In bocca l'aroma è quello di caramello, miele, agrumi, limone e cicorino!

Pours a clear orange amber colour with a small off white head. A fruity malty yeasty aroma. A moderately sweet fruity malt taste, toffee and ripe fruit flavours with a little bitterness.

Cask (Globe Bar, Cowes) - June 2018. Copper in colour. Biscuity and fruity aroma with notes of raisins, sultanas and floral hops. Floral, biscuity and fruity taste with earthy and floral hops, dried apricot and sultanas standing out.

330ml bottle. Clear, orangey, dark golden to amber colour with small to average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Floral hoppy aroma, malty basis with a touch of caramel, toffee, biscuit. Taste is floral and bitter hoppy, minimally fruity, sweet-ish malty basis with hints of caramel and toffee; floral hoppy finish. Smooth and soft palate, gentle carbonation.

On cask at The Fountain, Bridgwater. Pours clear golden amber with a white head. Aroma: not much, maybe a hint of citrus. Taste: light sweet & bitter, citrus, hints of peach & apricot. Light to medium body, average carb, light sweet fruity finish. Dull
