Description

Kornsmak, lett bitter, krydderier, syrlig smak. Frisk, med ganske beskjeden kullsyre, kort ettersmak

09.04.2014, 0,5l bottle @ home:
Nice slightly bubbly longlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet and roasted, dark malts, caramel, chocolate, coffee, hay, roasted grain, dark sugar. Taste is sweet, dark malts, dark sugar, chocolate, hay, roasted grain, burnt caramel, weeds, hints of coffee. Medium bitterness, a little dry and watery mouthfeel. Fair enough, a little too sweet.

500ml bottle from Meny Oslo City, shared with other ratebeerians at Cunningham’s place. Opaque dark brown pour supported by a fair, fawn-coloured head. Brown candied sweet malts on the nose. More prominent taste profile with mid-sweet roasted brown malts, hints of nuts and caramel. Dusty hops to the ending. Medium to thin bodied. A tad too sweet, otherwise an okay version of the style. (Halden 14.02.2014).

500ml bottle picked up at Meny Oslo City. Remaining white layer on top of a hazy golden body. Lightly spiced fruity smell. Little more than sweet citrus and yeast fruitiness to the taste buds. Thin bodied. Gives an unvaried and a bit bland impression, quite possible to drink though (shared with other ratebeerians at Cunningham’s place in Halden 14.02.2014).
