Bottle 500ml. @ home on the terrace. [ As Fjellbryggeriet Ymist 1 ].[ Trade by yngwie ]. Unclear medium red amber color with a speaking, a average, frothy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, sweet malt, sour malt, caramel, brown sugar, light yeasty - banana, later some wood - resin. Flavour is moderate sweet, light light acidic and light bitter with a long duration, caramel, malt extract - caramelized brown sugar, light tart fruit - malt, wood notes, later some wood - resin. Body is medium to light, texture is oily to watery, carbonation in mouth is lively but looks flat. [20140804]

500 ml bottle, batch #060, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.6%. Ingredients include oatmeal, spruce tips, ginger, cinnamon and cloves. Very dark ruby colour, nearly totally black. Moderate beige head. Dryish aroma of woodwork, dark chocolate and roast malts, hints of said spices. The flavour is astonishingly good for a Norwegian "grocery store strength" Yule beer - this is, after all, from a fairly new brewery. Fairly dry and woody, with nice roasty notes, again with notes of dark chocolate, coffee and said spices.

Transparent dark brown color. A fine tan head. Nice aroma. Toffee, coffee and some spices. Fine body. Tad sweet and an ok bitterness. Soft carbonation. Smooth flavor with some toffee, coffee, cardamom and some other Christmas spices. Nice tasty and easy drinkable at this abv.

Bottle. A unclear one, deep golden in color and with a dense, finger thick light beige head. Lightly sour aroma, in a nice way, fruity, with some prunes. Medium to full body with a bit high carbonation level, nice though. Rather dry in the mouth, some caramel sweetness and a fine bitterness. Pine cones. Lasting finish. Quite nice this one, easy drinkable too. 141114

Bottle. It pours a clear, dark golden body under a small, dense, light beige head. Fruit sour aroma with a touch of citrus. Some malts too. Not complex in any way, but nice. Fruity, light sour flavor with some bitterness in the back. Some vinegar hints. Pale malts, hints of caramel. Medium to full body pleasant carbonation. Long fruity finish. Nice indeed, easy drinkable, pity I won’t have it again. 141114

Fra flaske på Cardinal, DSJT nov-14: god kropp med mye smak, her er der masse godsaker (røstet malt, tørket frukt, litt lakris og krydder) innpakket i ringe 4,6%. Et koseøl jeg skal kjøpe så snart jeg finner det i butikk.
