Cask from the East Coast Bar, second day at GBBF 09. Bright golden body. Oil-hoppy to the nose. Smooth taste of orange fruits with a spicy touch added by earth malts. Ends up with gently bitterness. Good and thirst quenching (London, 05.08.2009).

Bottle @ RBESG Grand Tasting 2009. Deep dark brown color. Roastaroma with chocolate and vanilla. Soft roasty flavor with grapes and chocolate. Just a hint of in fection, but that works out fine in this beer.

Large 750ml cork/caged bottle that I picked up from Branthill Farm, Wells-next-the-Sea, Norfolk recently, consumed in back garden, 03-07-09 Pours black with small tan head. Light roasty nose. Taste is big on liqourice and is really quite roasty, touch of sourness to add a bit of bite but also quite sweet, a tangle of dark fruits also, its quite decent. A6 A4 F7 P3 Ov13 3.3

Bottle that I had at The Globe, Wells next the Sea, Norfolk 17-06-09 Poured amber/orange with white bubbly head and a chill haze. There is some yeast on the nose. This is a touch thin and watery initially but there is a prickly bitterness to it, some soft fruitiness maybe apricots? Not as sweet as was expecting, it’s fine but no great shakes. 6 A3 F6 P3 Ov12 3.0
