Hazy dark gold/amber with a tall, sticky white head. Fruity citrus hop aroma. The flavor is mostly bitter but there is a good malt support balancing this out nicely. Good solid IPA.

Sample at the DBLDP on 08/31/2014. Hazy straw color with a medium foamy white head that recedes quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of fresh cucumber and mild spice. Light-bodied with flavors of cucumbers, wheat and sweet spice. The finish is herbal creamy cucumbers. Unfair to compare to Cigar City’s Cucumber Saison which I really like, as this is not as good, but decent nonetheless.

From a 12 oz bottle shared at the Beer Heads bottle share in Falls Church. Pours a cloudy gold with a feint off white head. Intense chili pepper aroma. Overwhelming heat. Interesting. Definitely not a session beer. A palate wrecker.

Bottle courtesy of Beerandblues2, thank you sir! Bright yellow color, small white head. Aroma is shocking!!! Chili powder, almost painful. Taste is pure pain. Danger, danger, danger. More difficult than drinking Mikkeller Black.

Location: 22 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 8/15/14
Aroma: The aroma is sweet and malty, molasses, some roasted coffee, and chocolate
Appearance: Poura a dark brown color with a medium brown head and light lace
Flavor: The taste is mid-sweet up-front with a roasty, lightly bitter close
Palate: The body is medium, it has a soft carbonation, and a mild heat on the finish
Overall Impression: I thought this was a pretty solid example of the style. There's a good, solid mix of malty flavors here, with a little bitterness for balance.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel Florentin. Thanks Tom L. Hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of grains, citric and floral hops, a bit stale, and an acidic touch. Sourish flavor, kinda weird, with some citric hops, a bit stale and a bit "green" and some bitterness. Medium-bodied. The sourness is weird.

Hazy yellow-orange color with a medium foamy white head that dissipates gradually. Sticky small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, hops and malt. Medium body with flavors of grassy hops, citrus and grainy malt. No real evidence of carrot flavor that I could tell. The finish is mildly bitter with a short fruity hops aftertaste. Decent overall.

Bottle. A- Cloying sweetness, artificial raspberry syrup, wheat, berries. A- Golden color, slightly hazy liquid, white head. T- Sweet, raspberry syrup, subtle berries, artificial, slightly tart, sticky. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, sweet finish. O- No offense to Twisted Pines but they have some of the worst bottle artwork I have ever seen. So generic and reminds me of a cheap novelty soda. Sadly, the taste isn’t much better. artificial syrupy tasting and overly sweet. Just not very well done.

Bottle. A hazy, orange beer, more or less flat and headless. Green bell peppers, green chili, some pale malts and citrus fruit. So much chili that it’s hurting in the eyes. The flavor has loads of chiliburn, some maltyness and citrus, and also both green chili and green bell peppers. It’s full-bodied and warming on the palate, really, really warming, and lightly oily. Lacking a bit on carbonation. Some bitterness towards the very end. Wow! This one’s damn hot, but in small quantities it’s actually good. So good I think I could perhaps finish a bottle on my own. 140530
