Hotel room breakfast tasting with Jack & Leighton, Hilton Tampa, 22/02/15. Golden orange with a moderate off white covering. Nose is caramel malt, light pine, bitter citric peel. Taste is caramel malt forward, orange, light pine, toasted malt. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. So so - generic old skook brew pub malt driven IPA affair.

Bottle. A- Espresso, coffee, mocha, chocolate. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Coffee, espresso, mocha, milk chocolate, slightly roasty. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, smooth finish. O- The aroma on this is robust and out of this world. Like a straight cup of java with a nice chocolate sweetness to it. The taste is about the same but not as much flavor. A little on the blander side. Still an excellent brew for the price and a great one for the coffee lovers.

Draft. A- Piney, bitter, floral, citrus. A- Golden color, hazy liquid, white head. T- Pine, spruce, bitter, floral, herbs, citrus. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, bitter finish. O- Had this at Old Chicago where they listed it as a dunkelweizen from Texas. Yea, not even close, but I wasn’t going to bother correcting them. Pretty standard by all means. Plenty of bitterness, pine, and some citrus. I was expecting a sweeter agave taste to it but it was hardly noticeable if at all.

Bottle @ home, picked up at Boulder Liquor Mart. Hazy yellow orange appearance with a white head. Resin, passion fruit, grapefruit, and dank bud in the nose. A little oily. Baby powder, chalky texture. High bitterness. Moderate sweetness. Some orange and citrus in the flavor but it’s really mostly bland bitterness and some chalk. Not good.

Bottle shared during RBWG 2015. Pours clear orange gold with a frothy white head. Pale bread in the aroma, rindy orange. Medium sweet flavor with crackery pale malts, old pine needles, citrus peel, metal. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Boring finish, perhaps a bit aged, with dusty pine, leaves, dry citrus, more crackers. So so.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Beer Market Jaffa. Thanks zvikar. Hazy orange with an off-white head. Aroma of fruity hops (some pineapple), a bit stale, and a bit of malt. Flavor has a bit of malt sweetness, slightly stale fruity hops and a nice bitter finish. Medium-bodied. Pleasant.

Sampled on draft at Hou Thou this beer poured a dark orange-brown color with a small foamy beige head that faded and left minimal lacing. The aroma was cinnamon, nutmeg and a bit of dough. The flavor was tangy and piney with cinnamon, nutmeg and a sharp boozy and medicinal presence Long pine, cinnamon and medicine finish. Medium body. Medicinal presence grow and really ruins this one.
