Description
Twisted Oak Brewery is a 5.5 BBL brewery based on a working farm in Wrington, North Somerset. We have been brewing beer here since 2012. We brew a range of fantastic real ales using the finest malts and hops we can get our hands on. Our fermenters are all open topped and we always use fresh, top fermenting yeast.

We use traditional brewing techniques & 100% renewable energy to create both modern craft and traditional brews.

The brewery is owned and run by Keith and Deb Hayles and Simon Gait.

500ml bottle at our lodge in Cheddar. Pours a generally clear ruby amber, white head. Pleasant leafy amber malt, mild berry sweetness, brisk bitterness. Ok ruby ale, a little disjointed at times.

Cask @ Tap and Can. Clear gold, white head. Decent hoppy number.. some underlying grainy malt. Not bad.

Clear and golden with a frothy/creamy white head. Tart citrus on the nose, smooth with floral bitterness and some fruity vibes

12/6/2023. Cask at The Dove Street Inn, Ipswich. Pours clear golden amber with a small frothy white head. Aroma of citrus, orange, stone fruits, malt, flowers. Medium sweetness and moderate bitterness. Moderate body, a little watery, soft carbonation.

Cask-conditioned at the Siren's Calling, Portishead 9/6/2023. Golden in colour, with a moderately-sized, white, head. light pineapple and tangerine character, rich team malts, a touch of citrus hop and dryish finish. Fine.

3/3/2023. Cask at the 46th Loughborough Beer Festival. Pours clear close to black with a small bubbly beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, milk chocolate, vanilla, coffee. Heavy sweetness, ligth roasted bitterness. Medium body, very soft carbonation. Enjoyed the initial sweetness, and it developed some bitter roastiness to finish making it even better. Enjoyable.

Cask-conditioned at the Cornubia, Bristol 27/1/2022. Deep gold in colour, with a slight, off-white, head. Aroma of floral hops, with some caramel sweetness. Flavour had rich tea biscuit maltiness with a touch more sweetness, before a moderately bitter finish. Ok.
