Cask at the Kentish Belle, Bexleyheath. Amber pour with a white head. Nose is orange marmalade, honey, apricot jam. Taste is lots of orange marmalade, spot of tropical fruit, more apricot jam. Long citrusy linger. Good.

Cask at Bird in Hand, Stafford – not listed in RateBeer. Pours a lovely shade of mahogany with a small cream head. Nose is powerful and features roast malts and raisins. In the mouth the texture is creamy with flavours of fruit, raspberries and raisins. Finish is a bit watery, but with some bitterness. Looks wonderful but taste doesn’t quite live up to it.

Third by cask on the third day of GBBF Winter 20, Astbury Bar. Shared with Finn. Pitch black body, remaining fawn-coloured head. Fair lacing. Grainy chocolate aromas, promising. Chocolate flavours followed by a prominent coffee touch towards the finish. Medium bodied. Could not spot the vodka part. Pleasant stout. (Birmingham 06.02.2020).
