Visited here October 5th 2024 in the company of Craig and Stella, I thought that I had reviewed this establishment but clearly not. After one wrong turning as we headed out of Zelezna Ruda we realised where we had gone wrong and we were able to find this place quite easily, though it is up a narrow'ish' uphill road, but then opens out at the top with the hotel and good sized carpark ahead. There was a wedding on the day we were there so the staff were busy, however we managed to get served without too much of a wait. There were a few hikers (German mostly?) on the table to the side. We had a selection of beers and then got some to take away, beers were decent without blowing us away and prices very good. Liked this place and would return again, I suspect in the depths of winter it would be fun to visit.

Can picked up from Beyond Beer webshop Hamburg and consumed at home Friday 27th June 2025 after a nice relaxed day, heavy showers and warm sunshine all day, listening to 6Music Glastonbury coverage. We're cooking Paella 🥘 tonight. Pours gold with a haze, there's a mid sized white sticky head. A little hoppy and also bready on the nose. Lovely bitterness, dry, nice soft mouthfeel, yeah this is lovely, really good bitter bite that lingers for an age.

Can picked up from Walther Mai, München and consumed at home Thursday 26th June 2025, in a day when I took Mum and Keith back to the airport. We had Moules Mariniere for tea and listening to Deb Grant and Nathan Shepherd talking about Glastonbury 2025 on 6Music. Pours gold edging towards orange, head rapidly departed and carbonation is very low, disappointingly low. There's a safe resinous bitterness, mildly hoppy, a little sweet citrus (sweet orange), not sure about this, it seems an unloved beer, characterless and a sad 'Billy no Mates' type of effort. Generally Frau Gruber are decent, however comparing this to say a classic like Sierra Nevada Torpedo, firstly Frau Gruber is a lot more expensive, and then either misses the point on every key element or simply fails to clear the bar, it's like a 110m hurdler who hits every single hurdle. So I'm sorry but all told I'm very disappointed.

Can picked up from Bierothek, Fürth and consumed at home Wednesday 25th June 2025 in the company of Mum and Keith, we had homemade burgers and homemade burger relish, earlier listened to 6Music with Huw Stephens at Glastonbury. We're sat outside on the patio. Pours dark brown, with a sticky beige head. Roasted malt, a little tart with a light bitterness throughout. There's a little milky sweet edge, soft mouthfeel, sour cherries, fine.

Can picked up from Bierothek, Fürth im Wald. Having this at home Wednesday 25th June 2025 in the company of Mum and Keith, we ate homemade burgers, homemade burger relish, listening to 6Music earlier with Huw Stephens at Glastonbury, sat outside on the patio. Pours murky yellow with a sticky white head. Juicy, fruity and with a pleasant tropical tang. Hey KEES guys this is absolutely not a West Coast IPA, this is NEIPA every single day. There is no bitterness, dryness, the tropical flavours are leaning towards pineapple.

Bottle courtesy of Jonas and Ursula, many thanks guys. Having this at home Wednesday 25th June 2025 in the company of Mum and Keith, cooking homemade burgers, homemade burger relish, listening to 6Music with Huw Stephens at Glastonbury, sat outside on the patio. Pours lemon yellow with no head. Fresh and a little funky, fresh lemon curd yoghurt on the nose, zappy, tart and sour in the mouth. Good it's really interesting because the ginger is not immediate, or for me at least it's not, but then it shows and it's a nice addition.

Bottle that we picked up from Belgium on recent trip, consumed at home Monday 23rd June 2025 sat out in the garden on a day of mixed weather, gorgeous sunshine but also thunder and lightning and showers. We've got Purple Sprouting Broccoli and Gorgonzola Gnocchi for tea tonight. Pours deep old blood red with a head that disappeared in a wink. There is a lot of sour cherry here, tart, sour, zappy, funky and dry at the end. I like this, great on a summer day.

We visited here Thursday 5th June 2025 after having read Garrolds glowing review below. We were en route back to the UK by train and decided to linger in the St Gilles area of Brussels. This is a nice little shop, the beers are opposite the door as you enter the store, most of the selection was cans and interestingly most were completely unknown to me. We picked up 3-4 cans and a bottle, prices were very reasonable and the guy serving us was very friendly. It's easy to find, near one of the main junctions and close to the St Gilles Church.
