We visited here Saturday 10th January 2026. This was our first visit here on a bitterly cold winters day with treacherous icy conditions, I'm not sure why but for some reason the Dutch haven't bothered clearing any of the pavements in this area of Noord Amsterdam, the cycle paths are mostly clear and the roads are fine but pavements are like a skating rink. Anyway back to the venue, which is a large place, with that now see everywhere open plan industrial look, there are huge lifting pulleys on the ceiling, lots of seating throughout and large windows offering great views. The bar is situated centrally. We sat at a table v.close to the bar on some high stools. The barman was very pleasant, as you might expect here in the Netherlands he spoke perfect English. We opted for a taster flight of four beers, they were all absolutely fine with one or two very enjoyable, but nothing amazing. The venue is situated on the Ij waterfront and looks across to the main station, btw to get here the obvious option is to take a free ferry across the Ij to near here. Seems to be popular with all ages, having said that it wasn't so busy when we were here, a large group of women and a couple of children to the side of us and one or two other couples here and there. Personally I think that it would be much nicer visiting this place late spring through to early autumn, especially on a nice warm day.

Can that we picked up directly from Fuerst Wiacek brewery/taproom, Berlin, consumed Sunday 25th January 2026, had this back in the hotel room, shared with Anna. Hazy dark orange colour with a small white head. The carbonation is decent, good mouthfeel. Pleasant tartness a little grape, raspberry, peachiness and mango but the latter is subtle. Decent beer. On tap at BRLO brewhouse, Berlin, Sunday 25th January 2026 in the company of Nick, Anna, Charlie, Sarah, Ryan and Honey. Had this during a brewery tour and tasting. Pours almost clear yellowy/gold, minimal haze, small white head. Nice aroma, a little citrussy, zippy and zesty. Taste is similar, lemony with a little bit of malt, a low citrus and acidic bite, hints of Tzatziki a gentle tart finish. Score 7.4

Bottle at BRLO brewhouse, Berlin, Sunday 25th January 2026 in the company of Nick, Anna, Charlie, Sarah, Ryan and Honey. Pours deep dark amber in colour with a small light beige head that didn't hang around for long. Toffee and caramel on the nose with rye and a damp woodiness. Flavour follows a similar trajectory but with barrel ageing noted, decent but perhaps a bit more carbonation would lift this. Score 7.4

On tap at The Muted Horn, Saturday 24th January 2026 in the company of Nick, Anna, Charlie, Sarah, Ryan and Honey. Pours hazy light gold with a mid sized white head. Fruity and with a bit more depth than the Kernel Pale ale that just had. A little pineapple, zippy fruitiness, light tangy. Good. 7.0
