Note that the Thornbridge Hall series (largely one off and specials circa 2010-15) deliberately carry the Thornbridge name in their title.
Innovation Passion and Knowledge in all we do - and to have some fun along the way. The Thornbridge story began back in 2005 when the founders Jim Harrison and Simon Webster recruited two young brewers to brew on a second hand 10-barrel kit in the grounds of Thornbridge Hall. Soon demand outstripped supply and the need for a new Brewery became clear. In 2009 a brand new state of the art brewery was built at Riverside, Bakewell to meet with demand and allow Thornbridge to develop their range of beers.
Brewing still takes place today on the original kit at Thornbridge Hall, which allows us to experiment with new brews, create bespoke Hall brews, collaborations and assist the main brewery in Bakewell.

Can. Just a mild haze on this gold beer, a decent bubbly pale cream colour head. Palate is light and getting on for semi dry, good fine minerally carbonation. The light bodied pale malts are mildly sweet and has a natural grain. Fair dose of hop spice and good cooling pine. Juicy citrus and a little tropical fruits. A bitterish edge and increasing hop spice. Complex hop fruits, no surprise given 8 modern hops went in to this brew. Resinous citrus, a ripeish lemony cut. More going on but low level and well tangled. Light finish brings a very mild and soft skunk. Good stuff, leaning towards West Coast but swerving the tropes.

Ossett Official Pub Walking Tour Beer#11. Arrived back in Ossett to visit its beer institution for this dark coloured mild with roasted notes, providing character and flavour to this dark malty brew. It gets a little gritty too.

440ml can taken away from the Needle & Pin, Loughborough and drunk at home. Golden brown and clear with a small and quickly dissipating layer of off-white head. Gentle, slightly nutty aroma, bread and hints of sarsaparilla. Sweet taste at first with a light astringent bitterness. Watery body, some dryness, good amount of carbonation. It's a pretty basic interpretation of the style.

Hand-pulled half-pint in the Olde Fighting Cocks, Oakengates on 9th July 2026. Pale golden pour, white head. Dry feeling to this one and pretty boring.

Golden orange topped with an off white head.
Nose is orange zest, hedgerow, dusty hops, grass, melon.
Taste comprises mellow tropicana, bready notes, herb, citric tinged straw.
Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced juicy come grassy hop bitterness at the curtain call.
Solid cask affair.
