12 oz. bottle. In my shaker glass, it pours a very dark but still recognizable brown. Tan head fluffs up like egg whites and is still here after two minutes. Smell is of lighter stout roasts, with a few burnt popcorn pieces. Taste is good ol’ dark barley malt; a little coffee and chocolate, a touch of conditioning yeast. Fair sweetness is well offset by hops with just a touch of western hop distinction, but well within limits. A great American variation on a classic style.

Bottle. Light corn syrup and malt aroma. Bright golden yellow with moderate head. Corn/barley malt flavor with light hops finish. A good lager but not dramatically better than many macros.

Dark brown pour with a frothy tan head. Aroma is a strong coffee and roasted malt combo. Taste is smooth and rich with coffee, chocolate, roasted malts, and an awesome bittersweet finish. Truly a solid porter.

Golden yellow pur, lots of bubbles, small white head is gone quickly. Aroma is fruity, almost like apple juice. Taste is very light, very little hops, a bit of grain, and somewhat lacking character. Too light for my taste.
