Poures a deep brown color with a small light tan head that didnt stick around for long. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate and coffee. Flavor of malts and coffee with slight chocolate with a slightly bitter finish. Mouth is kinda thin and fairly carbonated. Also rather tangy on the sides of the tounge. Overall a pretty decent porter though not my personal favorite.

Bottle. This seems a bit overrated by many in my opinion. Pours a small fast diminishing head. Golden color. Aroma is strong with hops and so is taste. A better than average lager for sure, but not that much.

Bottle from Utobeer. Hazy gold with thin white head. Hop, lemon and cereal aroma. Fresh in mouth. Citric dry finish. A bit nothingy really. Not a big USA beer nor a sharp European wheat beer. Lack of banana and bubblegum flavours. Hoppy lemon finish is the best bit of it.

Bottle: Poured a medium black color porter with a medium size off-white head with pretty good retention. Aroma of roasted malt with a nice touch of coffee and chocolate. Taste is a well balance mix between roasted chocolate and coffee malt with some medium bitterness at the end. Another good well balance product from this brewery.

Second ratingDraught at The Rover in Gothenburg. May 1, 2006.I like it a little bit more than the bottle, but not much. Now it’s almost drinkable, but still way too big bitterness even for me.First ratingBottle at Bishops Arms Örebro on March 11.Very cloudy look, but then the girl in the bar didn’t exactly treat the bottle right...Light brownish color and a big brown head. Fresh hoppy scent. Very bitter! My toungue crawls back towards my throat. Some initial taste of fruitiness, but it quickly drowns in the bitter finish.7/2/3/3/7=2.2Third rating(12 fl oz bottle at Haket, Göteborg)On February 29, 2008Poues dark brown color, building up nicely. Tan bubbly head. Sweet, fruity and hoppy scent. Also grainy and oak. Malty sweet and alcohol taste, bitter aftertaste, also oak here. Smooth mouthfeel, big bitterness. Taste is way too focused towards bitterness so most other dissapears, not well balanced.7/4/4/4/12=3.1Rerate2007 version against 2008 version on February 23, 2009. Both on bottles.Biggest difference is that the 2008 isn’t as crazy dry bitter, it ahs a bit of sweetness as well.2007 = 5/3/4/3/9=2.42008 = 6/3/5/3/10=2.7RerateBottle at a blind tasting on October 10, 2009BB 18/02/10Hazy coper color, dirt yellow small head. Thoroughly enjoyed this nicely balanced English-style IPA. The aroma was filled with floral hops with hints of sweet fruits especially orange. The hop flavor, too, was predominantly floral, but the perfumey taste that oftens comes to the fore in this style beer was subdued. Instead, slightly sweet malts and flavors of dough and caramel rode on top. The mouthfeel was crisp and dry.

15+ years ago I loved this beer but now I think quite poorly of it. Murky brown with a medium sized white head that left great lacing. Extremely bitter and rough with pine, leather, tobacco and booziness. Long finish. Moderately full bodied.

On draught at Barley’s Smokehouse, a relatively new entry in the local market. Deep amber color with a thin and dense off-white head. Thin spotty lacing. Aroma of bready malt and mild hops. Medium, creamy body with honey and caramel flavor as well as toned-down hops. Citrus notes here and there as well. Decent enough but nothing really resonates. The finish is dry and mildly bitter citrusy hops. While not bad, Sierra Nevada can clearly do better than this.
