Description

Bottle: Poured a white/yellow color slightly hazy beer with a quite large foamy white head with good retention. Aroma of weak is lighter then expected with subtle hops that are also discernable. Weak taste of wheat with a slight touch of bitter hops, which don’t really fit in. Carbonation is just incredibly high which I don’t mind for the style. Overall, I guess this is just a bit boring.

Bottle: Poured a clear amber color beer with a nice foamy slightly off-white head with excellent retention. Aroma of citrusy hops is quiet evident as well as an evident caramel malt presence. Taste is a well balance mix between semi-sweet malt and citrusy and bitter hops. Body is fuller the average with a good level of carbonation. Overall, this is well balance IPA that I would love to have access to all year around.

Bottle. Typical Sierra Nevada hop aroma but with choc malt/espresso coffee. Quite bitter in mouth. The coffee/cho cis quite dominant. Sharp and dry. Yep, a hoppy stout that is well made

2005 on tap at Murphy’s Pub. Poured a dark amber color (i think, it was dark in the bar) and had little head to it. A rather hoppy flavor with noticable (but not overpowering) fruitiness. Sorta bitter hoppy bite to it. A very good brew, I hope to go have some more very soon

Bottle. Molasses and dark malt aroma. Opaque black brown color with small tan head. Smokey/astrigent flavor up front with molasses and malt sneaking in later. Stronger than many porters - closer to a dry stout with some doppelbock character.

Bottled (2005). Dark amber colour, small white head. Strong fruitish hoppy aroma. Strong fruitish hoppy flavour. Pleasant fruity aftertaste. Wellbalanced, and not too bitterish hoppy. Rather smooth and pleasant IPA.

Draft, of course. Pours a nice amber with a small foamy head. Hoppy aroma, grapefruit, malt. Flavor is the same, but has a tinge of a pleasant bittersweetness in the end. I happen to like this beer on tap better than bottled.
