Bottle at Kook’s Leaving Do at Chris_o’s. Copper/gold colour with thin white head. Nice citruc grassy, grapefruit hop. Honeyish malt. Goodish carbonation. Soft lemony finish. definitely has the hops to be an IPA. Good tangy finish and one of the beers of the day, even if it was the first.

From bottle - pours a deep golden colour with tight white head. Aroma of citrus with some honey. Tastes of honey too, with a bitter aftertaste.

Cask at GBBF 2006. Amber with lasting bubbly off white head. Quite fruity malt aroma. Some hop. Quite juicy and fruity in mouth. Bit of cherry. I liked it.

[Cask at GBBF] Amber colour. Dryish with rounded mouthfeel. Some solid malt lies beneath the resiny hops. Fairly low bitterness. Standard bitter.

Cask Handpump at The Butchers Arms, Headington, Oxford 30-06-06 Mid brown colour, quite a traditional tasting bitter nice fruitiness to it, bitterness was maybe a tad restrained, as was the hops, but an enjoyable beer that would make quite a decent session bitter. A6 A3 F7 P3 Ov13 3.2 Had this again at The Swan, Clewer Village, Nr Windsor Berkshire 08-08-09 on leg seven of the Thames Tipple Pours amber with a loose white bubbly head, good clarity. Nice pushy bitterness with a good late sweetness, some dryness also showing. A decent session beer. A6 A4 F6 P4 Ov12 3.2

500ml bottle from Tesco, Calais. Deep chestnut colour with lasting beige head. Cascade hop aroma, citrus, malty strawberry too. Bit of choc/coffee. Good hop on the end. Really tasty and satisfying beer. I commend this beer to the house.

Cask at the Nut Tree 07-05-06. Dark golden colour, nice hops, good fruitness, a touch sweet. Ok but no great shakes.

Bottle Tesco. A warm golden/orange colour, some bananey notes but also a bit floral. Taste wise was little bit of banana again plus some vanilla with quite a bit of residual sweetness present. Not bad but nothing wonderful

Milder than most barleywines that I have tried to date. Carmels, fruitiness, and malty tones lighten the overall presence of alcohol. Kind of syrup like on the palate, smooth to drink overall.

Bottled. Copper coloured, mediumsized creamy head. Aroma of banana, wheat and some spices. Flavour is caramellish, xylitol mixed with some red wineish hints and passion fruit. Also wheat noteable. Weird mix, but very refreshing.
