11th October 2008. GABF. Have a recollection this was a behind the counter beer which the nice girl got for me (probably to shup me up gushing about the Twin Oak Tripel). Cloudy light brown beer. Dry palate. Sweet caramelly malted wheat. Dry crisp finish.

11th October 2008. GABF. Presented as ’Twin Oak Chardonnay Tripel’ with an abv of 8.7%. Amazing toffee apple nose. Dry palate. Sweet appley caramel and dry sweet finish. Some lambic like acidness providing a balance to the sweet falvours. A real standout beer for me at GABF 08.

10th anniversary edition. Pours a very cloudy orange gold with a small frothy white head that leaves good sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is a clove and banana with citrus zest. Medium mouthfeel with a dry malt with orange peel and clove with a nice dry finish. Hides the alcohol well making it easy to drink. A very good belgian strong ale from BJs.

Hazy amber color. Very light cinnamon aroma. Basic Ale, lean, with a very light sourness and light cinnamon touch. Correct bitterness. The cinnamon being so light, this beer is not as bad as other pumpkin ales.

Shared the night before Darkness Day, October, 2009. I don’t know the gentleman that brought this, but thank you for sharing. High alcohol, in the flavor and the aroma, especially in the aroma. Lots of malt with sugar. Straight forward and not complex, this is a big, sweet beer with lots of alcohol and malt.
