The taste is a classic bready malt and no yeast notes. Simple and straightforward profile. Low carbonation. Smooth and clean. Medium body. No bitterness. Good golden.

Got in a trade with AZBeerDude72. 16 ounce can into pint glass, canned on 6/11/2019, best before 9/9/2019. Pours fairly crystal clear medium golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big cracker, white bread dough, and lightly toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of honey, corn, lemon, peach, pear, melon, red apple, herbal, floral, wood, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance of bready malts/grains, and light-moderate earthy hop/fruity yeast notes; with big strength. Taste of big cracker, white bread dough, and lightly toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of honey, corn, lemon, peach, pear, melon, red apple, herbal, floral, wood, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, honey, corn, fruit, herbal, floral, wood, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Awesome robustness and balance of bready malts/grains, and light-moderate earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and no astringent hop flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp/clean finishing. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness and carbonation. Medium-plus carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth and moderately bready/grainy/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.3%. Overall this is an awesome Kolsch! All around awesome robustness and balance of bready malts/grains, and light-moderate earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink with the modestly bitter/drying finish. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Awesomely clean pils malt/grain showcase, balancing earthy hops, and restrained fruity yeast. Mild residual sweetness with crisp dryness. Mild on adjuncts. A really enjoyable offering, and impressive spot on style example.

~6 oz taster as part of a taster tray at the Historic Harvey House in the Bright Angel Lodge at the Grand Canyon, Arizona. The pour is a slight haze golden with a foamy white head that leaves behind nice lace. The aroma is sweet floral, honey and a bit of sweet candy. The taste is crisp cereal malt balanced nice with the sweet honey floral hops. The palate is medium bodied with soft carbonation. 6,4,7,4,12 - 3.3 Re-rate 3/14/21 Can purchased as a single as the Trader Joe’s in Scottsdale, Arizona. Canned 2/15/21. The pour is a mostly clear orange golden with a well formed 2 inch off white head. The head falls slow with thick sheets of lace. Pretty beer. The aroma is a faint tropical fruit pineapple, along with toasted cracker malt. The taste is clean pineapple and orange citrus softly balanced with the malt of the nose. The palate is medium bodied, soft bitter finish. Can sense the alcohol in the after taste as the beer warms. Solid IPA. 6,5,7,4,13 - 3.5

Pours opaque dark brown/black color with a 2 finger fairly dense and rocky khaki head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, citrus peel/rind, light pepper, pine, dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, toasted dark bread, light smoke/char, herbal, floral, grass, and roast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/tropical/pine hops and dark/roast/bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, citrus peel/rind, light pepper, pine, dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, toasted dark bread, light smoke/char, herbal, floral, grass, and roast/toasted earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, grassy hop; and roast/char bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/sticky, and lightly chalky/resinous balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 8%. Overall this is an excellent Black DIPA! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical/pine hops and dark/roast/bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink for the ABV with the modestly bitter/drying finish, not aggressive. Really awesome balance of juicy hops and dark/roast/bready malt notes; without feeling like a porter/stout. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.

Light-moderate pine, citrus peel, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, citrus peel/zest, pepper, pine, toasted biscuit, honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and zero astringent hop flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/bready/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 7.3%. Overall this is a delicious IPA. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly bitter/drying finish, not aggressive. Feels like Citra, Centennial, Amarillo hops. Nice juicy and fairly dank hop complexity; nice bready malt backbone, with mild lingering sweetness. A very enjoyable offering. Very Midwest feeling style example, well balanced. Held up very well for the modest age.

16 oz. can purchased at Total Wine & More, Phoenix Arizona. Pitch black color, weak head in a standard pint glass. Light carbonation and medium bodied. Hint of chocolate nose and flavor is burnt chocolate malt. Strong astringent pine bitterness.mMouthfeel is almost creamy. This had no canning date and I believe it was slightly old. Not a great impression. Not sure I will ever get a chance to re-sample this.

Taster at the Yavapai Tavern at the Grand Canyon. Pours hazy yellow, with a small, off-white head. Smells of hibiscus, cereals, spruce, papaya, and brown sugar. Sweet, with a pleasant bitterness. Light body, with a crisp, clean finish. This is a refreshing, light, and balanced IPA. Nice.
