Pours a hazy golden colour with an amber hue. The head is frothy, big enough, off-white warm with decent stay and a few spots of lacing. Mild coconut aromas over the Milkshake IPA which has the juicy hops and lactose feel. Hint of pineapple. The tea part comes out in the taste with the herbal aspect. I find it a little unbalanced with all that is going on, but not offensive. It is like almost medicinal. The pineapples do come out in the smell at last pour. Seems better, and all-around is refreshing and interesting.

Can that pours a hazy light golden-yellow colour with a very big white frothy-foamy head that stays a long time and leaves thick soapy patches. I do like the aromas in this one (did I just say this with this brewery!!)? Nice yeasty Belgian ale nose with some decent sweetness, balanced grassy notes and freshly grated zest from a bunch of citrus fruits. The taste is not bad, with the citrus giving a refreshing orangy feel. It is just not as strong, but still decent. Is it possible that Grimoire disinfected their stuff, got their shit together - after so many years, and will now make good beers ??? I am really hoping, as this is nice. The Gods have spoken.

Hey, a Grimoire that does not show much infection ! Well, maybe just the fact that the sourness works with this one. Fruity nose of strawberries and cherries, with the sour notes in the background. This does not show much in the taste, as the cherries already have this hint, but in here - mostly the fruity and mild sweetness. Peach-pink, hazy with head that fizzes away quickly, leaving a little ring. The lactose is what adds the light sweetness, but it is not overly. Not really a Milkshake IPA, but a Milkshake easy-drinking beer. A better one for this brewery. Maybe some empathy in there.

The thing with Grimoire is the infections their beers pretty much all have. I am hoping that this one having more alcohol, will hide this. Hazy amber colour with a light beige frothy head, decent stay and good foamy lacing. I am kind of getting some of their famous sour yuckiness, but mostly the rum vanilla notes and sweetness. Getting some bubblegum, which is way better than infection. This shitty bacteria is present in the taste, but at least covered with the rest which is fine. Again, bubblegum notes, cloves - yep, all things that are good, but not when looking for an amber rum beer.

I have been pushing back Grimoire beers to rate for a while. Most seem to have the infection notes in them. After all these years, this one must be better I assume ? Beautiful dark brown colour, big beige head, good stays topping the brew. Then, big cocoa powder nose which seems great at that point. Then, bam !! Infection notes. In the nose, but more showing in the taste. Some sourness which does not belong there. Vegetable finish. You have been doing this beer for so long. How can this simple chocolate stout not just taste like roasted malts and cocoa ?!??! Maybe it just the hops you are using in here, but something is way off.
