Cask @ Admiral Benbow. Pours a clear gold, white head. Proper golden ale this, super smooth fresh feel with a nice malt sweetness, pleasant summer hay and straw notes. Fresh and pintworthy. Lovely.

Gravicask, half-pint, shared with Finn at the International Brewing & Cider Festival, Manchester. Bubbly beige head over a jet black body, fragile lacing. Earthy malts on the nose, roasted, mid-dry, and promising. Fine blended taste of toasted malts, bread, and caramel malts. Fairly roasted malt-driven finish. Quite easy to drink. Pleasing. Gravicask, half-pint, shared with Finn at the International Brewing & Cider Festival, Manchester. Red-brownish body, clear, filmy layer, fragile lacing. Moderate malt-fruity aromas, mid-dry. Blended taste of caramel malts and lemony hops followed by bittersweet ending notes. A bit thin on the palate. Fair enough. (Manchester, 22.03.2024).

Cask at the Pup & Duckling, Solihull. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a frothy off-white head. The aroma is roasty malt. The flavour is moderate liquorice bitter, light sweet, with a smooth, rich, roasty, light chocolate, liquorice bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

500ml bottle from Appleyards of Shrewsbury: BB 1st November 2024, poured into a vase shaped UK pint glass at home on 9th February 2024. Lovely clean and clear amber body, short lived off-white crown, it became a speckled wispy covering and collar a bit too quickly, shame really. Aroma is caramel, vanilla, leather and sugar coated cough sweets, no really! Flavours follow suit, it's an interesting brew that's for sure. Not too sure I've had a beer like this before, almost liked it (this is my 15,193rd rating on here).

31/1/2024. Cask at the 15th Colchester Winter Ale Festival. Pours clear bright copper amber with a small frothy just off-white head. Aroma is fruity, malty, biscuit, hops, flowers, bready edge. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness and body. Slightly oily, average to soft carbonation. Well done.

Cask at Hops, Crewe. Pours a golden amber with a sizeable off-white head and good lacing. Aroma is a mix of traditional and floral hops. In the mouth autumn fruits are the initial flavour alongside traces of pine. Traditional hops and marmalade come through fairly quickly also, plus some underlying malts. Later still there are hints of ginger and mango leading to a slightly spicy finish. This is a decent strong bitter.
