Commenced brewing in 2000 as Spinning Dog, also brewing Flannerys Beers after their closure. Changed name to Hereford Brewery in 2010.

Cask at the Standing Order (JDW), Derby. Amber with a dense creame head; hay aroma; thin orange malt flavour; sweet finish with some earthy malts. A rather basic bitter.

Bottle (thanx to Quack-Duck!): Deep amber coloured with ruby sparks, bigger - slowly collapsing - fluffy and lacy head; solid phenolic-yeasty nose with a certain acidity, supported by a malty and hoppy background; moderate sourish-sweetish flavour, quite soft and light bodied; lingering sourish and malty-hoppy finish. Interesting, but presumably infected. It is the question, if it was the brewer’s intention to create an english sour ale.........

Cask (handpump) @ The Star Inn, Huddersfield, England. @ [ The Star Inn Summer Beer Festival ]. Amber colored with a nice head. Malty flavor with flowery hops. Hoppy flavor with note s of pine and some fruits. nice bittereness.

Aroma is moderate malty, flowers, elderflower. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20090716]

Cask @ Willow Walk, JDW. Victoria SW1. Pours a clear golden color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma with some hoppy hints. Malty hoppy bitter caramel flavor. Hasa fruity malty hoppy bitter finish with a slightly bitter aftertaste.

Cask @ Pommeller’s Rest, JDW. Bermondsey SE1. Pours a clear golden color with a small off-whit ehead. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma with some hoppy hints. Fruity malty caramel flavor. Has a slightly sweetish malty and fruity caramel finish with some hoppy hints in the aftertaste.

Cask at Englands Gate, Bodenham, Herefordshire 03-04-09 Pours amber in colour with a white head. Clean, fresh, light fruity aroma. Fresh and a little fruity but also with a good rustic and earthy edge to it, some furry bitterness, quite decent. A6 A4 F7 P3 Ov13 3.3

Cask handpull at Muggletons, JDW, Copper colour, again poor condition. Bit of everything, some hop, some sweetness from malt, a little hop sting on finish. Poor condition.
