Sample thanks to Grumbo: Poured a coppery orange with a huge huge creamy off white head. Aroma is fruity, straw, metallic, caramel malt. Taste is sweet, malty, some bitterness, grassy, fruits.

23/11/2020. Bottle from Bieres Cultes - Rue des Halles, Paris. 8.0% abv. Pours hazy pale orange gold with a fluffy off-white head. Aroma of yeast, straw, orange, apricot, sweet toffee, touch of peppery spice. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness with light peppery notes. Medium body, decent depth, soft carbonation. Nice bittersweet finish with a little alcohol warmth. Enjoyed this.

Robe dorée légèrement trouble. Nez sur les fruits confits, le raisin, les céréales. En bouche, levure, malts, fruits et céréales. N'étant pas forcément grand fan de bières de ce genre, je la trouve agréable à boire et plutôt équilibrée, mais je n'ai pas grand chose à en dire !

Bottle. Nose is Belgian yeast, citrus, orange, hints of spice. Taste is spice, yeast, grassy, orange, candy sugar, bread, banana, alcohol, grapefruit, floral. Heavily carbonated It tastes very like Duuvel, and it's mostly a competent drink but the alcohol is hugely forward and is unbalanced leaving a peppery/vodka finish which spoils the beer.

Bouteille 33cl @ Niamey Craft beer tasting and bbq, merci Ludo. BB 10/2018, lot# L17-88. Dorée au col blanc. Arôme au bouquet malté centré sur les grains, pils carapâle, bouquet houblonné plaisant fleuri avec une petite touche rappelant les agrumes. Palais est d'office marqué par une sécheresse latente, houblonné noble citronné avec une douceur de fin de bouche, note de sucre candi style belge.

From a friend who got it in the France: pours sort of hazy orange. Aroma is flowers and yeast. Taste is a pleasant flowery, dry, and lightly bitter ale. Enjoyable.

330ml bottle from Leclerc Lamorlaye. Pours a deep hazy brown, large off-white cream coloured head. Sweetish brune nose. Taste is sweet, moderately spicy brune territory, soft caramel malt, some grain, ryebread. Decent brune.

From a friend: this is the Barge Rousse, which I am trying to figure out if it is different from the Ambree... ao far no luck on the net... rating should be moved to a new rating. In any case, it pours brownish amber with an off white head. Aroma is lightly fruity, malts, typical biere de garde. Taste is dry, malty, super light bitterness. Not bad.

On tap at Express de Lyon Paris. Hazy pale gold colour lasting white head. Lemon aroma. Spicy orange in the mouth. Not too soapy. Some bitterness. Pretty competent wit bier with good spicy orange finish. Good.
