Bottle at the Green Man, Kuala Lumpur. Clear, light amber pour, highly carbonated and with almost no head at all. Flavour was weak. Slightly bitter, typical pilsener taste really. Weak palate but that’s not a bad thing as I probably would not want that taste to linger in my mouth for too long! I’ll avoid this in future and I suggest you do the same!

Sampled from bottle @ Deanso. Clear golden color, small quickly diminishing white head. Smell malts, rice and corn. Taste malts, rice, corn, slightly some sweet-bitter hint. Thin, low bodied, low carbonation.

From the backlog, tried in Hong Kong. Dark colour with a thick white head. Strong aroma of malt. Sweet flavour of coffee, malt.

Bottle at the Green Man, Kuala Lumpur. Pours a deep black with a thin broken tan head. The aroma is dominated by the alcohol. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with liqourice and some alcohol burn on the palate. It’s a nice beer to drink in Asia, where the bitterness from the alcohol is quite refreshing, but this probably wouldn’t suit the European climate when the real stuff is so readily available.

Bottle at the Green Man, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a crystal clear amber, with a frothy white broken head. The aroma is pure malt and there is a hint of the alcohol there too. The flavour is strong bitter and liqourice, but sadly most of that bitterness comes from the alcohol which doesn’t suit me that much. Having said that its not so bad and I do feel that if this beer was poured from a Maredsous 10 bottle, then people would rate it more highly!

Bottle at Pub Royale, Kandy. Pours clear golden with a white bubbly head. Aroma of light malt, light citrus, flour and a little soap. Flavour is light sweet and bitter. Thin bodied with moderate carbonation.
