5th April 2010. Hazy dark amber beer. A little smoky malt on the nose. Dry palate. Tea like malt - lightly smoked. A little hop bitterness with the dry finish. Not bad but a little over dry and is this really an English Pale Ale? Label says yes. Appearence and taste say no!

Bottle that I picked up at Bellingers Jet Garage, Grove near Wantage, Oxon and consumed in a field at Cropredy Festival, Oxon 14-08-09 Pours amber in colour with an off-white head.with a heavy light beige foamy head. Its getting towards the end of the night and my notes are getting lazier but this was tasty and with some toffee and hops and decent bitterness, another decent beer from Wagtail. A6 A4 F7 P4 Ov13 3.3

Bottle from Bellingers, Jet Garage, Grove Nr Wantage, Oxon, consumed 31-07-09 Pours rich ruby with a wonderful clean off white head looks absolutely perfect. Aroma is a soft maltyness with a little toffee also a little citrus. Taste is streaky citric bitternes, toffee, nicely malty. This is good beer as you might expect from Wagtail but not the best from their impressive stable. A6 A5 F6 P3 Ov12 3.2
