At Capital Brew fest.
This was poured into a mini snifter.
The appearance was a hazy burnt dark brown color leaning towards almost black color. Light lacing slides into the beer.
The smell had a ton of sweet dark chocolate up front and then a slight dark fruitiness doing its best to invade and amplify a really nice blend of sweetness and still letting in a nice roastiness to it.
The taste was mainly sweet through the chocolate and dark fruits yet still this one carries a nice real lightness rolling around my mouth.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a pretty good sessionability about it. This one sat really smooth and creamy rolling all around my mouth and tongue. Overall, weird how I had to add this in here during a Brew fest but looking over the rest of the line up from Denali, there was nothing else that worked for this one. With that in mind, I would love to have this again.

Can pour. Pours black with a foamy tan head. Very nice chocolate malt aroma and flavor. Semi sweet chocolate flavor throughout. Long roasted finish too. Really well done. Enjoyed this one.

Whoah, where the heck did this come from? Way to go Denali another awesome beer coming down here to Juneau from Talkeetna.
I grabbed a grumbler of this at Breeze In, Lemon Creek.
I poured this into a mug.
The appearance was a nice pitch black color with a really nice one finger off-white to almost tan foamy head that dissipated within about a minute. The lacing was tight and tried to spider-web but clung nicely together for the most part.
The smell had a super nice coffee aroma with some light dried chocolate coming through really nice.
The taste, so hard to put down, as its a fantastic blend of coffee to chocolate. It leaves a nice dry coffee aftertaste that leads into a dry sticky yet bitter coffee finish.
On the palate, this one actually sits fairly light and comes across pretty sessionable. The carbonation is good for the style and for me as there’s some indication of bitterness running over my mouth and tongue as it goes down, but nothing too overly done.
Overall, another homerun by Denali and I realize why this is called \"I’ll Have Another\" as I can really understand the sessionable aspect in this brew. Please keep this coming down here!

Draught at The Beer Junction, Seattle
Amber color with creamy head. Caramel and hop aroma, some animal, dog, with a light impression of berries. Malt and caramel flavor, with light residual sweetness; the hops are quite resiny; but there is a heterogeneous fruity note of berries.
Not cohesive.

The appearance had a somewhat hazy brown to an off-colored orange colored body with a quick leveling head that tried to be at least a finger’s worth but like I said, it lowers extremely quickly (I don’t think I’ve ever seen any Barleywine lower so quickly), lacing - well, there’s some there but honestly it doesn’t coat the glass as expected.
The smell is where it makes up for its appearance. The aroma is outstanding for an English Barleywine as there’s enough oaky wood, tobacco and caramel.
The taste was mainly sweet with a nice carmel/tobacco aftertaste; quick dry finish.
On the palate, for an English Barleywine, it actually sits somewhat light to medium, weird, ok, I’m not exactly sure why I find this one more of one to have a somewhat sessionability aspect to it, but actually to me, I do see this. Carbonation is way smoother than most English Barleywines I’ve had.

Draft: Poured a golden color with white head. Aroma is light fruit and hops. Taste is nice refreshing grain, soft hops, and made me really glad summer is on the way in Alaska.

The appearance had a dark brown to black color, one finger white foamy head that dies within about a minute and leaves no lacing.
The smell had some dark roasted coffee beans allowing a decent amount of light chocolates to a nice aromatic dark fruits such as plums.
The taste was sweet to bitter to roast between the chocolate to coffee to dark fruits. No aftertaste but has a quick dry finish.
On the palate, it sat about a medium on the body; however there’s a decent sessionable quality to it to help me want more. Carbonation is pretty good for the style and for me as it runs rampantly smooth around my mouth and tongue.
Overall, whoah, Denali, where the heck did this come from? I mean I like your other brews, but this one takes the cake as it’s very good for the style and for me. I’m wishing I had some spicy caribou chili to go with this. Ha, next time.

The appearance has a hazy golden yellow/orange body with a one finger white foamy head that dies almost immediately, lotsa foamy clingy white lacing all over the place in no sort of pattern (all 6 cans were this way).
The smell has strong dank but piney hops barreling through barely letting any other sort of smell come out (all 6 cans were this way).
The taste has some strong bitter hops in all 6 cans, mellow maltiness comes just a tad, light citrus aftertaste, dry bitter finish.
On the palate, it sits about a light to medium, sessionable, and carbonation is just right for the style and for me.
Overall, this is a very well done AIPA that I would have again and also am looking to try more offerings from this brewery, I’ll gladly look forward to sending some of this East to see what my East coast friends think

Hazy golden color with creamy head. The hop aroma is well present, fruity and lightly animal. Lean body; the malt flavor is good and delicate, a good background for the powerful hopping as it doesn’t hide it. good fruit and manure character, quite fresh.
Nice beer, well drinkable.

The appearance has a black colored body with an off white one fingered foamy head that dies within about a minute leaving a nice sticky foamy lacing. The smell has some roasty light chocolate coming backed up by some malts. The taste is bitter and sweet at separate times with a dry coffee-ish aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, it sits about a medium, and is somewhat sessionable. Carbonation is good for the style and for me as its not too harsh but not too soft, just right.
Overall, I say this is a pretty good Irish dry stout well worthy of coming back to.
