Draft: Poured a murky coppery brown. Aroma was strong hops. High pungent hops, alcohol and malt. They really brought the hops to this, which worked well with such a high ABV, this would be an even better beer if cellared to allow the hops to fall off just a bit.

Draft: Poured ultra thick oil black with brown head. Aroma was rich coffee and roasted malt. Taste was coffee, chocolate, malt. Very smooth to the tongue.

Draft: Poured a murky dark brown with tan head. Aroma is dark fruit. Taste is soapy with dark fruit and souring dry Brett affect.

The appearance is a pale golden colored body with a one finger white foamy head that quickly dies leaving some nice sticky foamy lacing in its wake.
The smell has a clean crisp sweet wheat and a little bit of fresh sweet corn.
The taste is mainly sweet through the wheat and corn and combined pretty well done - I like it. It has a sweet wheat aftertaste and dry crisp finish.
The palate is light bodied and is fairly sessionable. Carbonation comes across fairly smooth and I’d say pretty good to me.
Overall, not sure why I’m having this at this time of the year, as I’d say this is good for the style and I guess a nice breakup from winter stouts.

Pours a semi-dark red and leaves a brown/red colored body, half finger white foamy head that dies within about thirty seconds, some light lacing that slides into the body; the aroma has caramel malts coming through in a bland sort of way, shallow earthiness to it; the flavor is mainly sweet through the caramel malts, caramel aftertaste, dry finish; its pretty easy on the palate and is somewhat sessionable, carbonation is somewhat smooth for the style and good to me; overall, not a bad American Red/Amber ale, though it could be construed as an Irish Red because of the lack of hops, still acceptable to have again, though I may not seek out

(tap) clody orange amber colour with a small white head; aromas of raspberry, bread; dry flavour with a long light bitter finish, more bitter than usual wheat, not bad

Rich ruby and deep amber coloured body with a bright almost violet tint and a large, seven centimetre tall tan head, rather billowy. Aroma of malt, caramel and a hint of light spices, all with a good yeast nose. Medium-bodied; Deep caramel and sweet flavour with a bit of raisins, figs and a little earthy malt note with toffee. Aftertaste shows a touch of spices, but the main flavour revolves around the good malt, strong sweetness from pit fruits and raisins and a little spice kick at the very end. Overall, a good earthy and rather sweet beer with a lot of caramel notes and hints of spices and earthy flavours. Great to try,and the can makes it that much better, especially from the last frontier. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from La Bodega in Anchorage, Alaska on 23-May-2013 for US$1.70 sampled at home in Washington a few hours before leaving again for Alaska on 03-October-2013.
