Big bottle in a box from the LCBO. Cedar aged... interesting. Pours a hazy golden-amber colour with a frothy warm cap, good retention and lots of dirty lacing. Aromas of dark fruits over the pine hop notes and nutty hints. This seems to comes from the cedar wood which comes out after breathing. This seems to calm the hops. Goes down too well for 10% ABV. Just a mild warming. The bitterness is nice overall. Mild pine flavours, grapefruits and orange zest. All very well-balanced and a nice touch with the cedar showing in the nose. A real good twist on the Imperial IPA.

A hazed reddish brown ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, nice dark caramel malt with loads of dark fruits, plums, light licorice, and ginger. In mouth, a nice sweet roasted caramel malt with light peated notes, ginger, grassy hops, nice. On tap at Arrow and Loon.

Bottle - Syrupy candy chocolate. Jet black with a rich brown head. Chocolaty sour syrup, just like the stuff you put on ice cream. Another fun beverage

Not a huge ginger fan so this is kind of a waste on me. Takes like gingerbread. Pours orangish red. Not much head or lacing. Tap at Brothers bistro.

This chocolate stout poured a deep black colour with a big, tan coloured, creamy head. Scents include chocolate to the 9th degree, cherries and cream. First sip was a shitload of cocoa flavor with additional flavours of cherries, cherry whiskey and Cherry Blossom chocolate bars. Finish is cocoa to the extreme, almost syrup.
