Bottle from The Beerhive. Hazy golden body with a thin white head. Low carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of lime, minerals and kiwi fruit. Flavour of melon rind, biscuity malt and grass. Thin body with a watery, slightly oily texture. Soft fizz. Lots of flavour for the ABV.

Bottle from The Beerhive. Clear golden body with a few yeast flecks beneath a thin white head. Steady carbonation. Patchy lacing. Aroma of pear and urine. Flavour of grass, sorrel and biscuit. Thin body with a light, fizzy mouthfeel. Pretty standard stuff.

Cask @ The Grove, Huddersfield. Virtually black with next to no head. It has a smoothness to its mildly milky roasted malts, evident in both aroma and taste. Its strength is noticeable.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Cotteridge, Birmingham, consumed at home Sunday 17th April 2016 whilst eating our Mechoui the Fish Pie we cooked will be for later in the week. Hazy gold with a white head. Some mango in the mouth with a little polish, curly soft hoppiness with a dry finale. It’s a good low strength beer, enjoying this. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov14 3.4

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Cotteridge, Birmingham, consumed at home Sunday 17th April 2016 whilst cooking Mechoui and a Fish Pie the latter for later in the week. Hazy lemony curd yellow with a white head atop. Soft in the mouth, fruity, squash, like, not too sweet, nice zippy edge. A bit like a gentle lemon meringue or is that just my mind playing tricks (looks similar) I like this, ok so it had a tough act to follow by coming straight after the Buxton Double Axe Barrel Aged version. 330ml bottle. Pours clear gold, thin white head. Aroma is grassy, lightly sweet. Taste is clean, almost slick, pale malts with some floral parma violets making an unexpected entrance. Hints of sherbet with vague tang.
