Bottle shared at the Cotteridge Convention - 2016 edition. Cheers for this one! Pours rich brown with a creamy, tan head. Great aroma, with toasted biscuits, light roast, pithy grapefruit poking through. Medium sweet flavour with good citrus qualities, light piney bitterness, some orange rind. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Good balance on the finish, with more toast, light chocolate, subtle resinous pine, cocoa. Excellent CDA.

Almost complete black, and a fine beige head. Ok lacing. Good intensity in the aroma. Medium + body and a fine carbonation. Ok balance between sweetness and bitterness. Semi dry texture. Pine, grapefruit hoppy, coffee, mild roast, licorice, mild tropical fruity and some chocolate.

Bottle at home in London - picked up at the Bottle Shop, Bermondsey. Pours perfectly clear yellow, effervescent, with a foamy white head that recedes a little quickly. There’s a good dose of smoke up front in the nose, and the rooibos follows quickly thereafter, along with notes of lemon, hay and maybe a little pineapple. Lightly sweet with quenching lemony tartness and mellow acidity, all underscored by a restrained smokiness. Light bodied with average carbonation. Lightly drying, tart and acidic on the finish, with touches of wheat bread, faint grass and straw, more rooibus, mild smoke. The flavour combinations seem a little disparate and jarring at first, but the more I drink of this the more I think it really comes together. Nicely harmonised and refreshing. Excellent work.

Bottle. Hazy pale golden body with a thin white head. Steady carbonation. No lacing. Aroma of freshly cut oranges, tonic water and cucumber. Flavour of lemon zest, tonic water, oranges and minerals. Abrupt but clean finish. Thin body with a watery texture. Light fizz. Very refreshing and not overly sour. An ideal breakfast beer.

Bottle. Turner’s, Sheffield. Clear, pale gold. Thin, lasting, white head. Nose has sweet, grassy, lemony malts. Lightly spicy, floral hop. Some notes of fruity hop. Taste is initially soft sweet. Some dryness. Minimal bitterness. Clean, fresh mouthfeel. Nicely spritzy. More sweetness on the finish, tempered by a soft, spicy bitter close. Clean and drinkable.

330ml bottle from a website on the internet. pours black, off-white head. Aroma of caramel, light tropics. Taste presents a slightly bigger body than expected, tingling carbonation & a nice smooth sweetness that’s becoming a cloudwater trademark. Definitely coming across more like a dunkel with a nice light caramel sweetness and teasing hop shades. Lovely and balanced.

Cask @ Soup Kitchen, Manchester. Clouded pale yellow, looking like a Belgian wit, with a thin head. Has a full fruity aroma and taste, with lots of tropical flavours and low impact citrus with pineapple dominant.

Cask at the Cracen Arms - Brum. Pours brown with a creamy tan head. Rich roasty malts in the nose, cocoa, burnt biscuits. Light to medium sweet flavor with some toasted pine, bittersweet baking cocoa, earthy hops. Medium bodied with fine carboantion. Light resin on the finish, more toast, cocoa and pine. Good beer.
