Opaque dark brown beer, tidy pale tan head. Smooth palate, modest fine carbonation. Smooth dark malts bring a little dark chocolate. Sweet vanilla. Sorachi kicks in and provides a mild lemon and a little hop spice. Touch of tangy esters underneath. Light semi dry finish. Unusual and tasty.

Hazy paleish gold beer, thin white head. Palate is light and mildly crisp. Thin malts, slightly sweet. Light and mildly bitter grapefruit. Touch of floral character. Crisp semi dry finish. Mild pithy linger. Not bad but what you been smoking Tom?

Almost clear gold beer, thin white head. Palate is light and dry, modest carbonation. Nice orange (duh!) with touches of marmalade and candy orange. Trace of lemon. A nice fruity number this but let down by a pretty weak finish, it all fades away in an instant leaving a dry seltzer.

Lightly hazy gold beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, fairly dry. Reasonable fine carbonation. Smooth light malts, a mild sweetness. Hops bring skunk, pine and hop spice. Aniseed alcohol. Touch of spicy orange and tropical fruits. Light finish brings more spicy pine. This a tasty DIPA which I enjoyed but I can’t believe anyone would think this was better than version 1. It lacks the refinement of the marvellous beer. 3.6

Okay nearly 3 weeks on from the first bottle and the raves about this one are not dying down. Smooth malts, mildly sweet, thin cream. Good piney hops, mellow hop spice. Smooth skunk. Citric hop underneath, pithy. Light floralness at the end. Hop spice linger. Yeah it’s a very nice and it just goes to show you can drink a bottled IPA too early, this one has smoothed out a lot and lost it’s hard edge. Still not quite as good as V1 though!

Hazy deep amber beer, good cream colour head. Palate is light, fairly smooth and has reasonable fine carbonation. Modestly sweet malts, thin cream. Very mild dark malt character. Mellow pine and a sweetish generic fruit. Smooth piney finish. Not a particularly brown brown ale but smooth and tasty.

Bottle. Hazy golden body with a thick white head. Lively carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of orange peel, passionfruit and kiwi fruit. Flavour of flower petals, Earl Grey tea and lemon. Medium body with a spongy texture. Light fizz. A bit weird and not very balanced - the hops overwhelm any character from the wheat.
